Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou main image

In a quaint Japanese town, far from the footprints of tourists, an abandoned robot named Alpha lives a quiet life, while running a coffee shop left by her previous owner. With hardly a customer from day to day, she tends to focus on life's little pleasures, while sporadically wishing for her master's return. But one day, a delivery-robot brings Alpha a camera, and through the pictures inside, her eyes are opened for the first time to the world around her.

Although Kokoro Library does have a more refined plot (but not much!) both of these slice-of-life shows come to mind when thinking of the other. Quaint, cute, and lethargic, you will enjoy one if you like the other.

The only thing these 2 anime have that is different is that YKK has robots in it and Kokoro Toshokan has girls that are constantly dressed as maids even though they are learning to be librarians. LOL! Slow paced as slow can be. Nothing much happens in every ep. If for some reason you like to watch not much happen in a show check out these 2 for sure.

A Little Snow Fairy Sugar

Alt titles: Chiccha na Yuki Tsukai Sugar, Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar

A Little Snow Fairy Sugar main image

Saga is an ordinary girl who lives her life by planning everything ahead of time. Unfortunately, having a waffle-loving Snow fairy called Sugar follow her home was not a part of these plans! Together with apprentice fairies Salt and Pepper, Sugar must find the 'twinkles' that will make their magical flowers blossom, thus turning them into fully fledged season fairies. The trouble is, none of them actually knows what a 'twinkle' is! And so, with help from Saga and other friends, the trio begin their search, whilst having fun and perfecting their magic along the way.

Another cute one, centered on a young lady. Both have nice music, good animation, and will make you feel good when you watch them.

Both of these series are extremely - almost excessively - cute and sentimental, largely devoid of action, adventure, romance, and physical danger. The plots are entirely driven by character interactions and the little dramas that play out in a relatively small area. They are very "slice-of-life," and are very G-rated. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just a very different focus from most anime, and those who appreciate that will probably like both.

Bottle Fairy

Syrupy sweetness all the way around. Both are also somewhat slice-of-life, with not much going on at any time.
FireFlower

Personally I didn't like at all Kokoro Toshokan but Bottle Fairy was much better because episodes were not that long.

Well both are kinda similar so if you liked one of them, you might also like the other one too. I suggest small doses.

Follow their 'everyday adventures' in high school with this light schoolkid comedy.

You should definitely enjoy the "slice of life" elements of this show, and the general pleasant atmosphere. This is another show that you can just sit back and watch and enjoy.

Kokoro Library and Ai Yori Aoshi have in common that they are series in which nothing wrong happens. These two shows make people feel happy because they are full of feelings of happiness and love. If you're sad or depress, don't hesitate one second!
