A classic romantic comedy from the 1980's, telling the bittersweet story of three high school students. The series features very unique storytelling and direction, music from some of the biggest Japanese pop acts of the 1980's, and an added twist as Kyosuke and his family are ESPers, whose powers are used to tell unique stories and put the characters in unusual situations.
Satoshi Yabe is the newest employee at Kamohashi Elementary School. Wide-eyed and enthusiastic, he’s thrilled to finally be fulfilling his dream of being a teacher – but little did Satoshi know that he’d be assigned to class 6-3, a group that houses none other than the violent and perverted Marui triplets! Between the girls trying to hook him up with the busty school nurse, dealing with the unfortunate consequences of a hamster named 'Titties' and other misadventures, Satoshi’s dream of an uneventful school life has come to an end!
Both shows contain the terror of having out of control kids all in classrooms, from the optimistic girls, the troublemaking boys, and the teacher who is lost and doesn't know what to do. Also, a lot of comedy centered around the school students happens. Only difference is that Mitsudomoe is never really serious, while Kodocha can switch from comedy to drama quite often.
Two sisters struggle through the everyday life of a girl. One sister is a pure and innocent high school student with an attraction to a middle school boy. The other sister is the older, naughtier sister who works in an office. Both sisters will face the everyday 'girl' problems in a hilarious way, from sex to breast sizes.
Okay, so Kodocha has plenty of romance, drama, and a more solid storyline than Momoiro Sisters, but their animation style is very similar. Things are random, quirky, and fun; you'll also notice it in the background music. Be wary of the many perverted topics in Momoiro Sisters though. If you can get past that then I'm sure you'll like this if you enjoyed Kodocha.
