Kobato. and Heartcatch are magical girl-(ish) series about girls who try to heal other people's hearts and collect a bunch of Heart Seeds/conpeito. Both are super adorable, and have a similar sense of humor. Don't expect many action scenes from Kobato, though.

She is given powers by a magical ring, and together they must hunt down mystical artifacts called stardrops in order to return him to normal. At the same time, Tsuwabaki must keep his daytime identity a secret from Sumumo as well as keep their ability to use magic hidden. As he lives this double life, he grows closer and closer to Sumomo in both his human and sheep forms.

Both anime have cute characters and the plot is similar: To collect something (candy in Kobato. and stardrops in Nanatsuiro Drops) to achieve a certain goal. Both anime also have talking plush toys to guide the heroine. In both anime, the heroine faces many obstacles and falls in love with someone. The ending is also somewhat similar. If you loved Nanatsuiro Drops for its cuteness, Kobato. probably has more humor and funny moments that I can think of in Nanatsuiro Drops. So if you like one, you may very well like the other.

Well, both female leads have their own "tune" which they will use now and then in the series. Kobato and Macross both have female leads with a little bit sad pasts (Kobato has better one ;D) and they have this relationship unsolved till the end. (not the "love on the first sight-thing)

They aren't the same, so don't expect anything too much, but they have some same elements and at least I liked them both! ^^
