Each series center around a fairly serious male and a genki/klutsy girl. They also have a few major side stories going around the center arc and have a main character looking for something throughout the series.

Kimi ni Todoke

Kimi ni Todoke

Sawako Kuronuma is just like any other high school girl who wants to make friends and be useful. The only problem is she bears a worrying resemblance to Sadako from 'The Ring!' Because of her reputation, people are not only terrified of her, but small dogs even bark in fear at her presence; in fact, the only person in school who will talk to her is the lively class hottie, Kazehaya. As the pair spends more time together, Kazehaya slowly begins to bring Sawako out of her shell and soon their feelings for each other develop further. Though with her crippling insecurities, lack of social skills, and a series of cruel rumors and misunderstandings, it seems that Sawako's dream of a normal life won’t be quite so easy to obtain.

Both of these series are kind of slow and center around a girl that doesn't quite fit in. Also, as the series progress through a lot of heart warming and funny moments, the lead male and female learn to read their own fellings.

Both of these series are kind of centered around "the heart," be it delivering the heart or mending it. Also, each of these series leave a lot of questions unanswered for most or all of the series, while the main character kind of just runs around trying to deliver/mend hearts.

Both Kobato and Petite Princess Yucie involves a girl with her own goal, whether it be Kobato wishing to get to the place she wants to go or Yucie becoming a Platina Princess - either way, each anime deals with the two aiming for their own goal and getting nearer to it through their own actions. Both have the same feel to them with each being cute yet serious at times and involving many dealings with helping other people. If you enjoyed one, you'll definitly love the other.
