Featuring some mild incest, both heavily feature the relationship between a young and innocent boy and his "father". Even though it sounds a little wrong, these shounen-ai shows will greatly appeal to the fangirls who adore man-love. I know both did with me ;P

Boys and their fathers have such a wonderful relationship.... well maybe a little *too* close in both of these wonderful short anime. If you like pretty boys doing lots of smooching and the drama that comes with such romances i suggest you check out one if you liked the other.

Its similar when it comes to both fathers loving men but in Papa to kiss in the dark the father loves the son in more ways than 1

Both of these shounen-ai anime focus on more forbidden relationships. Both the central couples in these series consist of an older man and a school boy. If you want a show with boy love aplenty and comedic content then look no further than both Kirepapa and Papa to Kiss in the dark.

Aside from having "Papa" in the title, both of these explore generation-gap relationships. Both have a slight plot-twist toward the end, and some inherent drama. If you liked one, you'll like the other.

Junjou Romantica and Kirepapa have similar character stereotypes: one man is the relatively weak, unaccepting of his feelings sort of guy, while the other is the dominant and forceful type who pushes his way onto the body of the other. It goes without saying that both are shounen-ai anime, as well.

Kirepapa and Junjou Romantica are a perfect match in every single way. Both are modern shounen-ai anime with similar character interactions that explore the dynamics so particular to the genre. A dose of humour and some drama make them even more akin as does the smooth, clean and bright artwork.

Similar story lines when it comes to author with yaoi lover trying to be accepted by his father. My fav yaoi by far. So addicting! Just because you cant watch season 1 without watching season 2 watch season 2 as well! (Action in the first ep!)

If you liked the comedy and the relationship between an older man and younger boy, in either Kirepapa or Junjou Romantica then you may well like the other. While there is much more hesistation and angst in Junjou, both have a similar feel to them.

The biggest and most obvious similarity between Junjou Romantica and Kirepapa would be that they both center around the relationship of two males; one being a teenage student and the other a grown adult. Junjou Romantica is much longer and more fullfilling, but they both include strong drama, intimate situations, and similar humor. If you're interested in one, give the other a try.

Both are shounen-ai and very romantic. Both have a great balance between romance, drama and humour. Both relationships started with the uke falling in love with someone they never expected.

Both anime have the more mature seme, and the less mature, or energetic uke. They both have more than one couple, and there is one couple with an age difference (Kirepapa's two couples both have an age difference.) They both have hardcore yaoi scenes, and also have comedic aspects to the anime in general.

Like shounen-ai? Of course you do, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this recommendation. In my experience, most shounen-ai is pretty similar (everyone falls nicely into the seme vs. uke dichotomy, etc.) so if you like one (Kirepapa, for instance), you'll also like another (such as Loveless)

Both are excellent examples of the Yaoi Genre. They both have sex scenes, though not overly explict.

In addition, they both have a reluctant/resistant (at first) love interest, and a confident and unrelenting pursuer.

The art styles are also very similar. Not sure if its because they were by the same studio (Because I don't know!) But if the style was one of the things you particularly enjoyed about one, then it's likely something you'll enjoy in the other.
