Both series have a similar humor and I found the atmosphere in both series somehow familiar. Both series are located in a fantasy world though and are completely fictional due to that. Hunter x Hunter has put its accent on story, while Jing hardly has any story but is mainly episodic and focusses more on ranodm humor.

Both of these animes are good to watch simultaniously. Unique art styles, music, and comedic moments. It makes me wish I had seen them sooner.

Kyo Kara Maoh!

Kyo Kara Maoh!

Upon trying to save a friend from bullies, Shibuya Yuuri finds his head in the unlikeliest of places -- the toilet. Like a flash, Yuuri is then inadvertently sucked in, transporting him somewhere else! In this unfamiliar world of flying skeletons and magic, he is informed by a group called the Mazoku that he is to be the next Maou -- ruler of the kingdom! With harrowing and embarassing situations ahead, can our hero swallow his pride and lead a war against the common people when he can't even tell the difference between a slap in the face and a marriage proposal?

Although the characters in these two series are rather different, I still sense sort of a similar atmosphere around them. It might be the fantasy setting (with a bit more creativity in Jing's case), it might be that Yuuri and Jing look a smidgen similar, I don't know. There's just something I can't quite put my finger on that says "You'll like one if you like the other".

"Which is the L, and which is the R?" That's one question Jack Hofner and Rowe Rickenbacker of the duo L/R hear much too often. Employed by the Royal Family as secret agents, it's their job to carry out various agendas to protect the good of the people of Ishtar. With Jack's suave manner and Rowe's rebellious attitude, there's nothing that can keep them from their goals - whether it be helping restore a long-lost princess to her throne, racing against time (and a laser-shooting satellite) to find treasure within ancient ruins, or discovering the identity of a mysterious terrorist called Angel.

While not exactly the same genre, both KoBJ and L/R have the same light hearted attitude towards their subjects.

Minor action, a comic feel and a great story line can be found in both series, along with an awesome soundtrack.

MSH98

Both shows center around easygoing, master thieves who like to use calling cards to announce their thefts. Jing is sort of like a young Lupin with a magical bird instead of a gun
