King of Bandit Jing in Seventh Heaven
Synopsis:
The King of Thieves and his womanizing feathered-friend Kir are back, and behind bars! The duo's luck has finally run out, leaving them handcuffed and incarcerated in Seventh Heaven, the world's most maximum security prison, from which there is no escape. But all is not lost for Jing and Kir, for great treasure is to be found within Seventh Heaven's walls. It is said that an inmate named Campari has mastered the ability of crystallizing dreams into candy, leaving the user to dream anything he wishes. And of course, what else can Jing do, but strive to steal it?

In a bizarre fantasy world, students known as meisters are trained at the illustrious Shinigami Weapon Meister University; but the tools they wield are no ordinary weapons! A meister's ultimate goal is to collect ninety-nine pre-kishin souls and one of a witch so that his or her partner will become an all-powerful Death Scythe. Maka and her partner Soul Eater; Assassin Black Star and his partner Demon Blade Tsubaki; and Shinigami's son Death the Kid and his partners the Demon Twin Pistol Thompson Sisters each vie for their ultimate goal, but plenty of challenges and adventures lie in their way!

add recJing and Soul Eater have little in common - Jing is extremely episodic and random, while Soul Eater is somewhat ecchi, heavily shounen and overall fairly generic.
The one thing they do share is a bizarre and unique animation style, plain and simple; and given how unusual it is, that makes this a solid recommendation.
