Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Yuuto Ayase is not interested in girls - if his two housemates are anything to go by, girls are loud, brazen slobs that are best left alone. However, when Yuuto accidentally discovers an important secret of his school’s most popular female, Haruka Nogizaka, the two become bound in a budding friendship. All too soon, Yuuto discovers that, despite her flawless appearance, Haruka is clumsy, naive, and a closet otaku... and he just might be falling for her.

These animes are both a anime that is very upbeat and they both end on a good note. Also both have some very funny moments but also some drama in it too at some times

Sakamichi no Apollon

Sakamichi no Apollon

Lonely Kaoru Nishimi has lost count of how many times he has moved schools thanks to his father's naval career. Newly landed in Kyushu, he finds most of his classmates instantly antagonistic towards him and suspicious of his elite background. Only two other students seem not to mind who he is – the infamously abrasive Sentarou and the gentle Ritsuko. Unbeknownst to Kaoru they have a passion for jazz, and they're about to pull him out of his stiff, joyless world into theirs of loose, swinging self-expression. Through friendship and frustration, love and despair, Kaoru will learn that life has a wealth of experiences in store for him!

When watching both of these animes you just have a state of tranquility. They are both mellow animes and enjoyable to watch. Sure Kids on the Slope is more jazz/music oriented while Kimikiss is more romance/school life, but they both come down to friendship to it's core. They both have the dramas of life and bittersweet moments. If you liked one I'm sure you'll like the other
