Kanon

Kanon

For Aizawa Yuuichi, returning to the town where he spent his childhood has been an unusual affair. Yuuichi, it seems, has forgotten his memories of the past, including encounters with several young ladies who would love nothing more than to see him again. As the days pass, flickers of the past began to surface, revealing more and more of the dark events that once came to be. As the reuniting continues, Yuuichi soon starts to realize that his past may be far more complex than he once believed it to be...

Don't be turned off by the fact that both are H-games turned into anime. The drama in both series is touching and you feel for the characters.

Kanon and Rumbling Hearts involve how everything changes concerning love and relationships for the characters in the series. Both are very dramatic anime with a mature outlook on life, although Kanon has a more fanciful approach to it.

Kanon (2006)

Kanon (2006)

It's been seven years since Yuuichi Aizawa returned to the city he once lived in as a child. Though many things happened to Yuuichi in his past, he can only remember bits and pieces. His parents left Yuuichi in the care of Akiko once again, and this time, he will attend the same school as his cousin Nayuki. Many different girls appear before him, and some of them seem to know him from his past. Yuuichi must now recover his memories of the dark secrets that he erased from his heart, before he loses his precious ones.

"Kimi ga Nozomu Eien" and "Kanon" both hold the same kind of melancholic mood set behind an initially happy and carefree setting. If you like anime with a more melancholic setting you will enjoy either one of these.

A little more sweet than Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, but it gets really sad.

Almost everybody cries when seeing this.

A must see if you like sad romantic animes!

Kimikiss Pure Rouge

Kimikiss Pure Rouge

It's spring, and love is in the air! Sanada Kouichi wakes up one morning to find a strange girl barging into his house and making herself at home. Only after his friend, Aihara Kazuki, shows up later does he recognize the girl as their childhood friend Mizusawa Mao, who has been living overseas for the past two years. With her parents still overseas, Mao will be living with Kouichi and attending high school with him and Kazuki. The three of them will rely on each other to overcome their challenges with school, friendship, and of course love!

On both this Anime shows Love between different girls, the chemistry of changing feelings, always a nice guy (who ofc is WAY to nice haha) and the Unique way of loving. Very very good animes - I highly recommend it as a Romance - Comedy - Drama - School life ( F A N )

Kimikiss other than Kimi ga Nozomu Eien features multiple lovestorys at once. You get in both anime good love storys but Kimikiss is more centered around comedy than Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. I wouldn't say Kimikiss is without moments of tragedy but it certenly doesn't keep up with KgNE.

Kita e ~Diamond Dust Drops~

Kita e ~Diamond Dust Drops~

Diamond dust: when the moisture in the air freezes on a chilly day, the air seems to sparkle and shimmer. It is said that to see the diamond dust in its glory means that lovers will stay together forever, friendships will flourish, and dreams will be realized. Kita-he ~Diamond Dust Drops~ tells the stories of several groups of friends and lovers as they struggle to stay together, accomplish their dreams, and anything in between, all revolving around the tale of the diamond dust.

Though "Kimi ga Nozomu Eien" is a series that functions as one continous whole, and "Kita-he" is an anthology of connected short stories, the two anime have a lot of common ground. There is the romance element, of course, and all the trivial common details that are elements of the Japanese culture's romantic imagery (including the tragically bedridden beauty, locked in a hospital pining for love). But there is also a more fundamental common factor, namely the element of hope. In "Kita-he", the quest is for the redemptive love that is represented by the diamond dust. In "Kimi ga Nozomu Eien", the quest is to redeem the petty wrongdoings and unavoidable sins that accompany the human condition.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and Diamond Daydreams are series about the development of love, and the troubles of a relationship. Both series have the central theme of romance, and both have their share of drama. I think the way the characters interact are similar; you'll have your misunderstandings, tantrums, and heartache. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien has a much deeper story and dwells much deeper into characters. Diamond Daydreams had a fun opening, and gives you a variety of types of relationships, and their issues.

Love Hina

Keitaro Urashima is somewhat of a failure. In order to fulfill a promise he made to a girl fifteen years ago, he has tried time and again to get into Tokyo U but has never managed to pass the exam. Living with the feral Kaolla, the timid Shinobu, the sake-loving Mitsune, the blade mistress Motoko and the punch-happy Naru, can Keitaro keep his focus and keep his promise? And will he ever end up meeting that girl from his past?

you should watch Love Hina if you loved Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien because of it's beautiful enviroments, good music, in other words if you liked the atmospere in the series. the story isn't very similar, and KGNE isn't even a bit comedic like love hina is.however, if your'e a person who values the above highly(like me) watch Love Hina to. the atmospere isn't the same even, since Love hina has a atmospere which can be described with the word "Magic", while KGNE would be more like "sorrow".
vick01

Both KGnE and Love Hina deal with a main character who struggles to get the girl and the problems that arise from other love interests that appear. If you liked one, you will surely enjoy the other.
