Ariel

Ariel

Through a series of unfortunate events, Earth was suddenly attacked by Albert Houser, owner of the offworldly Gedo Corporation. To expel the beast-like invaders, one man created Ariel, a woman-shaped mecha designed to defend humankind! But this mecha required a special kind of pilot, and who better for the job than.. his granddaughters?! Now, to save the human race, Aya (who would rather be studying),  Mia (who would rather be playing sports) and Kazumi (who actually likes the job) must pilot the feminine Ariel, before Houser can complete his nefarious plan!

Ariel and KSMK both have a campy, very unusual feel to them, filled with mecha that don't belong and a crazy style of humor. If you enjoyed the strangeness of one, you'd enjoy the other!

Battle Skipper School

Battle Skipper School

At the St. Ignacio School for Girls, there are two prestigious groups: the Debutante Club, led by the beautiful and evil Sayaka, and the not-so-popular Etiquitte Club, its sole rival. Shihoko Sakaki, Saori Tachibana, and Kanami Ezaki are three freshman who join the Etiquette Club, not knowing that it is a cover for an elite fighting squad known as the Exstars! While piloting the mecha Battle Skippers, they fight crime, justice, and Makuhari Heavy Industries (run by a relative of Sayaka) to keep the world safe. Watch out, bad guys! The Exstars are on the prowl!

KSMK and Battle Skipper School both have alarmingly similar feels and content. A magical girl squad that seems unlikely, kicking ass in the name of justice. Not only that, but they have a similar sense of cheesiness and such.

Phantom Quest Corp

Phantom Quest Corp

Ayaka Kisaragi is the best at her profession -- hunting down vampires, spooks, and evil spirits who haunt the citizens of Tokyo! Ghostbusters, beware! The crew of the Phantom Quest Corporation is on the job. From vampires to the undead, there's nothing her hip and paranormal team can't handle... EXCEPT their debt, of course!

I can't think of many series which fit together as well as Yougen Kaisha and KSMK. Both are Ghostbusters style comedies that don't take themselves too seriously. I must admit that KSMK was definitely stranger, considering it was supposed to take place in samurai days, yet had cars and magical girl transformations, but both are quite amusing in their own ways.
