Sora o Kakeru Shoujo

Sora o Kakeru Shoujo

Far in the future, humans have begun to live in space colonies and interstellar travel is the norm. This epoch is home to Akiha Shishidou, a daughter of the wealthy and powerful Shishidou family. She is a girl with no ambitions and seemingly no direction, until she bumps into Leopard, an obnoxious, arrogant and slightly crazy "brain colony." Soon, Akiha is enlisted by an enigmatic young girl named Honoka to steal some parts for Leopard, and her life becomes filled with danger, excitement and the occasional run-in with the Inter Colony Police. Akiha must work to reassemble Leopard in the midst of conflict and in the face of a mysterious malevolent force lurking in the shadows. Is she really, as Honoka says, "The Girl Who Leapt Through Space?"

These two sci-fi comedies have a lot in common. First, they're really similar visually with lots of bright colors and moe'ish artwor. Both series also feature a large cast of fun and original characters. Sora o Kakeru Shoujo's production quality is much higher (thanks Sunrise), but both shows should please anyone who enjoyed the other.

Similar tones and themes. They feel very similar to each other, in addition to the fact that both take place in space and feature attractive (YMMV) females saving the world.  Kakeru shoujo does have higher animation quality, but both are very good, and I strongly suggest anyone who likes one to watch the other.

AIKa R-16: Virgin Mission

AIKa R-16: Virgin Mission

Aika Sumeragi is still in high school, but having already earned her C-class salvager's license, she has no need for career counseling. While Eri, the class president, takes a dim view on Aika advertising her services at school, she seems to have no qualms about hiring her herself on behalf of the school's Treasure Hunting Club. A girl named Karen has mysterious tattoo which contains a hidden clue to the whereabouts of something unknown, and after packing their short skirts and panties, the club sets out on a journey to discover the answer; but not everyone on board is who they seem to be. Aika's first job is turning out to be far more serious than she originally thought; and thus, her illustrious career as a panty-flashing secret agent begins!

both Aika and Kiddy Girl-And exceed in terms of fanservice aspects. Both of them feature agents working for different people or organizations and both shows are action packed. Although Aika is much more perverted than Kiddy Girl-And which focuses mostly on a "space opera" (space opera means shows that feature tags such as outer space, futuristic, etc) theme. If you like you might as well check the other one as well.

Dragonaut: The Resonance

Dragonaut: The Resonance

Several years ago, Jin Kamishina's family was killed in what appeared to have been a space shuttle accident. A few years later he is suddenly attacked by a strange monster, but is saved by a strange girl named Toa who possesses superhuman strength and can transform into a dragon. Jin finds out that the accident was not due to an error by his father, the pilot, but rather as a result of a collision with an object from outer space – the asteroid Thanatos, the source of destructive dragons appearing on Earth. As they make new friends and enemies, Jin and Toa now find themselves becoming increasingly entangled in the mysteries of the ISDA – a shadowy organization working to protect humanity – and the dragons themselves...

both Dragonaut and Kiddy Girl-And feature space opera as a main tag and also both animes feature Fan Service aspects (Kiddy Grade is abit more decent then Dragonaut which exceeds in terms of bra-sizes and i mean huge sizes). In both animes there are also agents and organization involved. So if you enjoyed watching one of this two shows then you will definitely like the other one as well.

Bright colors, pretty ladies and skimpy outfits. Rio: Rainbow Gate! and Kiddy Girl-and might be a lot different in terms of story and setting, they both feature more or less the same visual style. While Rio is certainly ecchi'er, I feel like anyone who enjoyed one of the them will like the other.
