I always wondered why I really got into romance genres and it is because of these 2 series. Kare Kano is widely known for its serious romance relationship. Despite Kimagure Orange Road's psychic ability added in its plot, the relationship between each main characters were done perfectly and others could really relate to it. Kimagure Orange Road - I Want to Return to that Day finishes up what the TV series left off perfectly.

Kimagure Orange Road TV

Kimagure Orange Road TV

A classic romantic comedy from the 1980's, telling the bittersweet story of three high school students. The series features very unique storytelling and direction, music from some of the biggest Japanese pop acts of the 1980's, and an added twist as Kyosuke and his family are ESPers, whose powers are used to tell unique stories and put the characters in unusual situations.

If you did like Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou then you should watch Kimagure Orange Road. both is about a school kids that find love in school put meet compications along the way. they find alot of new friends while trying to stay close to the one they love. Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou is more serious than Kimagure Orange Road. like in Komagure Orange Road when the family can do magic and do unnatually things like run faster then anoyone ever kan possebly do.

psylence

Both series feature the budding relationships of two high school students, with all the emotional highs and lows that come with that. The two shows also share additional plot elements like a childhood friend of the main boy who doesn't like the main girl getting too close to him. In short, both series have a similar atmosphere and are simliar mixes of comedy and romance.

Sangokagome

One of the best things about these series is that they don't focus on theiir sci-fi and fantasy aspects (mostly because they don't have any) and take away from the romance we all want to see. Thankfully, they focus on the flirtation and the romance that takes place between the characters for an all out 'aww'fest each time you put on an episode! Enjoy!
