Same kind of tsundere characters in the same situation. Love vs money/social status. Technically the manga of Kaichou wa Maid-sama is more similar to Hana Yori Dango, because the anime hardly tells you anything about the main male character and his private life. Regardless, if you enjoyed one then I'm sure you'll like the other.
Fujisaki Girls Academy is attended by young ladies from old and honorable families. Maki Natsuo, admired by other students and with a cool and calm manner, is the academy's student council president. However, unbeknownst to the other students, her heart is overflowing with curiosity and passion for romantic relationships. One day, the tomboy Kurahashi Riko walks in on Natsuno while she is practicing kissing with a body pillow. Having witnessed Natsuo's secret, Riko is recruited to assist her in her Love Lab, Natsuo's study of romance.
both series are starring studen council members, although in Love Lab the girls are craving guy's attention whereas in Kaichou wa Maid-sama! the male protagonist is quite fond of the student council president so she is not lacking male attention. there are quite some differences but i think if you like one, you'll enjoy the other too.
The original manga revolves around Nike, the determined princess of the Rain Dukedom who has a mysterious power: she can control rainfall. After losing a game of rock, paper, scissors to her older sisters, she is forced to unwillingly marry the king of the Sun Kingdom, Livius I. Livius (or Livi for short) conquered the world in three years, and is known as the "Dreadful King." However, when Nike meets him for the first time, she finds to her surprise that he is a boy younger than she is. Livius abruptly asks Nike to call forth the rain, and when she refuses, he has her thrown in jail. The story follows the two who, while at first are a married couple only in name, gradually begin to establish an emotional bond with one another.
