Kodaka is a delinquent. At least, that’s what his fellow classmates seem to think. Thanks to his naturally-blonde hair and an unfortunate series of misunderstandings, the boy can’t seem to shake his false reputation and hasn’t made a single friend. That is, until one day he overhears the normally-aloof Yozora enthusiastically chatting with an imaginary friend, and discovers that she’s just as lonely as he is! In an attempt to finally meet people the duo decides to form the “Neighbors Club”, and are soon joined by a number of other fellow misfits such as Sena, the busty, popular daughter of the school president who can’t seem to connect with others. Together, the gang learns about the joys of friendship through many misadventures such as playing RPGs, visiting the swimming pool or even hunting down delicious takoyaki!
in both stories a student begins the year in high school looking for some school club to sign up, however none of them seem to fit the bill, so the student decides to reunite some other people and create their own school club. And together, the gang creates strong bonds through very much funny moments! So if you liked one of them, don't forget to watch the other!
Best friends Haruka and Yuu have just entered their first year at Misato West High School, a facility scheduled to be shut down in three years. The duo have been inseparable since middle school, but moving to a new school means making new friends. So together, the pair decides they’ll share something special that they won’t do with the other girls: they’ll share a passionate kiss. Now, the two, along with new companions Kotone, Shizuku, Kaede and Yuku, begin their high school days together, having plenty of fun - and sharing plenty of intimate kisses - along the way.
These are both light hearted slice of life anime about cute girls doing cute things. In K-on the girls hang around each other because they're in a music club, in Sakura Trick they hang around each other because they're lesbians. However, that difference aside if you're a fan of one show then you will certainly like the other. While both shows are light on plot or development, they do provide cute comedy by the boatload.
If you're looking for a more relaxing watch then try either of these lighthearted shows that just highlight the every day lives of these high school students being cute and funny together. Neither show takes itself seriously, but instead focuses on being light and easy to watch.
Super Sonico is an 18-year old college student who plays guitar for the three-girl band Fastest Speed in Space and models for pin-ups. In spite of her busy schedule, she still finds time to help her grandmother at her restaurant. One night, her band members Suzu and Fuuri, are late to a concert, forcing her to play alone. The result of that show will have far-reaching consequences for Sonico.
Both anime feature a lot of young women playing instruments and a whole lot of focus on slice of life stuff (keep in mind that SoniAni is far more vapid than K-On! ever manages to be). SoniAni is very much ecchi, while K-On! usually manages to not sink to such low tactics. The cast in K-On! is much more varied and features several mains, while SoniAni is basically just about Sonico. Still, if you saw one and want more female characters playing instruments now and then, do check the other one out.
Touma Kamijo's right hand has the ability to nullify any form of supernatural power, whether it be magical, psychic, or divine; he lives in a city populated by students with these powers. Yet unfortunately for Touma, his arm also seems to nullify good luck. Despite his bad luck, the boy tries to stay out of trouble and just live out his life, trying to be the "good guy" whenever he can; but trouble enters his life one day when he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony. She turns out to be a nun of the Church of England, bearing the Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum - a collection of 103,000 forbidden texts, and as a result has a number of people after her. How far will Touma go to protect his new companion from her pursuers?
If you liked one you'll like the other because both animes have that one character thats too cute but also a klutz (Yui Hirasawa and Index) but unlike K-on! Index has a male hero (Toma) who gets involved in things he would expect to be just like Yui does but the difference lies in that Index takes place ion a world with magic while K-on! is in the ordinary magic-free world.
