Tamayura: Hitotose

In a moment of pure warmth and happiness, it is said that children of the light, known as Tamayura, will appear. Fuu Sawatari is a young girl who loves taking photographs the same way that her beloved father did while he was alive. Having recently moved to the town her family frequently visited when she was younger, Fuu enjoys her life to the fullest alongside her friends Kaoru, Norie and Maon. Whether the gang have a sleepover, chase a furry cat around town, or simply enjoy a delicious lunch, Fuu always has her camera in hand in the hopes of finally capturing the illusive Tamayura on film.

Both have a group of girls doing things without any real going on plot. Both series are ligth hearted and have quirky characters. The colourtemplate is quite similar.

Tamayura however is far more slow paced with less comedic moments. It's slower paced nature makes it less likely to be appreciated by those who like more high spirited slice of lives and therefore it might be a good idea to skip this one.

K-on! is a genre standard which many slice of life get compared to and even if only for ''otaku-cred'' should probably be at least checked out if you liked Tamayura.

Tamayura is noted to be a ''healing'' anime rather than a comedy like K-on! So if you're looking for some healing it might be worth checking out, but if you're looking for comedy it's probably better to look elsewhere.

Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High is a school for the extremely wealthy or, in Haruhi's case, the extremely talented. But no amount of talent will help when Haruhi accidentally drops an eight million yen vase in a music room. The vase was the property of Ouran High School Host Club, a group of attractive young men who, for a fee, provide their time and affections for their lovesick clientele: the female students. Fascinated by this strange new specimen, a poor and clumsy commoner, they force Haruhi to work for them until the debt is repaid; but they get a lot more than they bargained for...

Both OHSHC and K-On! are lighthearted series featuring high school clubs, and they both have plenty of comedic moments.

The characters are lovable in both series, and although there are differences between them (more of a romance element in Ouran than K-On!, different main character sexes), but they both have themes of friendship and school life.. and they're both super cute! ^.^

Kiniro Mosaic

Kiniro Mosaic

Shinobu Oomiya is a 15-year old Japanese school girl who did a homestay in the UK when she was in junior high. One day, as she is missing her time abroad, a letter arrives for her from the daughter of her UK host family, Alice Cartelet, announcing that she is coming to Japan! With Shinobu’s classmates Aya Komachi and Yoko Inokuma, as well as Alice’s childhood friend and rival from the UK, Karen Kujo, the lives of the five girls sparkle like a mosaic, and an airy and sweet school comedy starring Japanese and British schoolgirls is about to start!

Both Kin-iro Mosaic and K-On! follow a group of high school girls, and focus more on their conversations than on any kind of plot. Light, humorous, and full of cute girls doing cute things--fans of either show should check out the other!

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai

Kodaka is a delinquent. At least, that’s what his fellow classmates seem to think. Thanks to his naturally-blonde hair and an unfortunate series of misunderstandings, the boy can’t seem to shake his false reputation and hasn’t made a single friend. That is, until one day he overhears the normally-aloof Yozora enthusiastically chatting with an imaginary friend, and discovers that she’s just as lonely as he is! In an attempt to finally meet people the duo decides to form the “Neighbors Club”, and are soon joined by a number of other fellow misfits such as Sena, the busty, popular daughter of the school president who can’t seem to connect with others. Together, the gang learns about the joys of friendship through many misadventures such as playing RPGs, visiting the swimming pool or even hunting down delicious takoyaki!

in both stories a student begins the year in high school looking for some school club to sign up, however none of them seem to fit the bill, so the student decides to reunite some other people and create their own school club. And together, the gang creates strong bonds through very much funny moments! So if you liked one of them, don't forget to watch the other!

These are both light hearted slice of life anime about cute girls doing cute things. In K-on the girls hang around each other because they're in a music club, in Sakura Trick they hang around each other because they're lesbians. However, that difference aside if you're a fan of one show then you will certainly like the other. While both shows are light on plot or development, they do provide cute comedy by the boatload.

If you're looking for a more relaxing watch then try either of these lighthearted shows that just highlight the every day lives of these high school students being cute and funny together. Neither show takes itself seriously, but instead focuses on being light and easy to watch.
