Kotoko Aihara has always been in love with Naoki Irie; he’s tall, handsome, and rumored to be the most intelligent student in Japan – who wouldn’t be? Only one thing stands in the way of a relationship with Irie: Kotoko is ditzy and is at the bottom set of her school, and Irie-kun hates nothing more than ditzy, stupid girls. When disaster strikes and Kotoko is forced to move in with Irie-kun’s family, she suddenly sees her chance to bridge the gap. After all, even cool, super-intelligent guys must have a soft spot, right?
Tomoya Okazaki is a third-year high school student who is generally bored with life and doesn't take his studies, future, or anything else seriously. One day, however, he meets a lonely-looking girl in the school courtyard, Nagisa Furukawa. Both Itazura na Kiss and Clannad are about a girl/guy who falls in love and works hard to get there love and they wnat to get married to the person they loved and are in highschool. Must watch either one. They show the love of the main characters and show how they never give up

In present-day Japan, a rising decline in the birth rate has prompted the government to intervene, thus forming the R.T.P. committee whose goal is to promote arranged marriages. Due to the sensitive nature of the issue, however, a test run was deemed mandatory, and young Ryo Mizuhara (chosen by the world's best supercomputer) was selected as the test subject, much to his own dismay. With the megalomaniac Shizuka Masuda appointed as his fiancee and secret agents in his face at every turn, can Ryo manage to save his sanity, let alone his bachelor lifestyle of the past?
they are both romantic comedies in wich at the beguinning the girl is into the boy but the boy dislikes her...
There is also marrige themes in them.
The difference i think would be the type of comedy but both are really funny.
What is there to say? Both of these series have the unwaveringly-in-love girl vs. the unagreeable bloke. FUNNY! <--- Itazura na Kiss is either exceptionally humorous or it's just me - cramming 11 episodes, in one night, instead of sleeping might make things more funny than they really are. Then again, a series that doesn't let you sleep is probably pretty good to begin with. ;)
Kyoko moves to the big city with the prince of her dreams Shotaro; he wants to make it big in the entertainment business, so she works hard at many different jobs to support him as he achieves his dream. However, one day, Kyoko accidentally discovers the horrible truth: the love of her life thinks of her as a 'plain and boring woman!' Outraged, Kyoko swears revenge – she will make it even bigger than Shotaro in the entertainment world. The only question is, how will she fulfill her desire?
Upbeat and optimistic heroine? Check.
Tsundere male lead? Check.
Endless moments of "Just kiss her already!" ? CHECK!
Though these two series end up in very different directions, I think with such a similar set-up it would be difficult to enjoy one and not the other. Check it out!
Both have an very upbeat and persistant protagonist that will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Both of the male leads are very handsom, sought out men that refuse to show their feelings for the protagonist, even to the point of being pretty mean to them.
Other than that, the animation is pretty similar, and they both have a similar overall feel. I am honestly shocked that more people haven't made this recommendation yet.
Ryuuji Takasu has an eventful life: his classmates think he's a delinquent due to his 'killer' eyes; his crush Minori seems ever out of reach; and he’s just had an unfortunate encounter with 'palm-sized Taiga' – a feisty and dainty wench in his class. With different cleaning habits and tempers, the two clash like night and day; that is, except for the fact that Taiga and Ryuuji have crushes on the other's good friend! With school rumors abounding, the duo must now work together to play matchmaker for each other. Who will end up with their true love?
Both Toradora and Itazura Na Kiss have quite a lot in common. From finding love triangles to comedy. They each have their unique spice that catches ones attention and delves them into the story making you want to watch the next episode. In both anime's you have characters fighting through daily lives while trying to get the person they love to see them. They are great anime that I am sure many will love.
They are very simular. Both are looking for love, if you love romance and comedy you should pick these up
