Both Storys are the cream of the crop of romance/drama. One guy and two girls - The guy is not able to choose one and keeps going out with both. Everything is about the way he has to go to reach a decision. There are ups and downs and LOTS of misunderstandings.

From I''s is a famously bad spin-off ova from the popular Katsura manga I''s, whereas Video Girl Ai is a pretty good, if incomplete, adaptation of his earlier work. The two most romance-focused series he's done, both were Shounen Jump hits, and should appeal to the same crowd. From I''s actually has a few interesting moments of animation, but manages to fail so completely at capture the spirit of the work that it's worth seeing just so you appreciate how much better Video Girl Ai works.

Video Girl AI would be right up your alley if you liked I"s OVA. If the animation style was to your liking in I"s it is exactly the same in Video Girl. They also share the same type of traditional romance that we all know and love. There are some differences such as plot and music, but the basic idea is the same. Video Girl AI should be a great short segue from I"s OVA.

One

One

One OVA is a fairly confusing, but beautiful look at the life of Orihara Kouhei, and promises that he has made in his childhood. In each of the 4 episodes, more of the mystery of Kouhei's past, and relationships with his fellow students is revealed. Much more cannot be said about the plot without giving major spoilers. Based upon a popular PC game.

Mysterious people and promises made long long ago... do you remember? Just like the the people in I's OVA the girls in this OVA starts remebering promises they made long long ago. They try to remember what the promis really was about and if they don't will the whole world disappear? This is truly a "look alike" to I's OVA so check it out!

One and I''s OVA both deal with memories from the past that are forgotten, and wanted to remember. One definitely is more beautiful and mysterious, while I''s is far more based in fanservice. But both are interesting.

Debut

Debut

In Debut, each standalone episode revolves around a group of friends: Aki, Saori, and Itou. First, shy Aki falls for the cute Burger Joe employee... but does he like her back? Also, the girls reunite 10 years after burying a time capsule at the local elementary school. However, the capsule contains not three, but four boxes! Who is the fourth person? Only time and reminiscence will tell...

While a loose recommendation, part of Debut and I''s have a similar type of story line about memories from the past.

Mizuiro

Mizuiro

As children, Ken, Yuki, and Hiyori were the best of friends. But like a flash, the companions were torn apart when Hiyori mysteriously vanished without warning. Now, as young adults, Ken and Yuki are in for a surprise when Hiyori returns, but in a manner that they would never think to expect -- falling out of Ken's closet? And what's worse is that she appears to be a ghost! Armed with newfound curiosity, the trio try to remember what happened in their past, and why their long-lost friend has suddenly reappeared...

Mizuiro and I''s OVA both are well animated and mysterious OVAs about the past, and things we sometimes forget. While Mizuiro has a very comical tone, I''s OVA is rather serious and melancholy in nature. Regardless, if you like these types of shows, you certainly would like one if you liked the other.

The main characters in Rec and I’Pure have to choose between dealing with love and dealing with a career. Both main girls want to go into acting and both of the male characters act in the same fashion and are filled with romantic comedy and a series of misunderstandings.
