If you liked the InuYasha The Movie 1: Affections Touching Across Time anime, the Anime-Planet community thinks you'd like:
Fifteen-year-old Ichigo Kurosaki is a typical teen with fighting skills, two caring sisters and a special trait: he can see ghosts. However, when Ichigo and his family find themselves under attack by a huge beast, Ichigo discovers that there’s more to the supernatural world than the everyday specter. Vengeful spirits known as Hollows roam the world in search of devouring souls, and Shinigami – soul reapers – work tirelessly to defeat them and guide normal ghosts into a place called Soul Society. Ichigo valiantly fights the Hollow that threatens his sisters, but on the verge of defeat a Shinigami named Rukia gives him her powers, turning him into a Shinigami himself. Ichigo must now adjust to his new life of both vanquishing and saving souls for the sake of Soul Society.
If you like the action and adventure of the Inuyasha movie, where Inuyasha and his special giant sword Tessaiga take on arch villain Minomaru, who is determined to increase his power enough to control the world, then I think you would also like the activity and exploits of Ichigo and his special giant sword Zangetsu in the fourth Bleach movie where Ichigo goes up against nemesis Kokuto who is determined to use Ichigo's power to break free of the boundaries of Hell.
Akane wonders if she really belongs in the land of Kyou when there is so little she can do to protect the city she loves like her friends and guardians, the Hachiyou, do. A chance encounter in the rain with a nameless man leads Akane on a search for the past he has forgotten, a past mysteriously tied to the cursed Sairyou dance, a dance said to kill any who attempt it. But there is much more to the kind man than Akane can imagine. As she begins to care for the lost stranger, Akane’s friends worry that she cannot summon her true strength to seal a spirit that haunts Kyou. Will Akane be able to unlock the power within her to finally bring peace to Kyou and to the man she grows to love?
Kiki is a young witch who has just turned thirteen, and as tradition dictates she must now leave the safety of her home for a year to undergo witch training. One clear night, Kiki takes off with her cat Jiji and her mother's broomstick to start her new life, and finds herself in a town near the ocean - but she's disappointed to find that people aren't nearly as friendly as she'd imagined they'd be. With nowhere to stay and no outstanding magical skills besides flying, Kiki begins to wonder if she's come to the right place; but after returning a pacifier to a customer of a local shop, its owner, Osono, offers her a place to stay. Kiki soon decides that she'll start her own delivery service, and with the help of newfound friends she sets forth on a journey to discover who she is and how to make it on her own.
Both are a heart warming adventure. Filled with magic, and friendship as they try to reach their goals. But when they loose something important to them they discover that love is a key to there powers.
Yusuke Urameshi was a normal middle school punk until he was hit and killed by a car, while saving a child. His selfless action earned him the right to gain his life back and serve as a detective of the spirit world, keeping the world of the living safe from a myriad of demons. But being reborn has its price: Yusuke must hatch a spirit beast that will develop according to his actions, and if he doesn't act in a good and honest manner, it will eat his soul. Can Yusuke protect the human and spirit worlds and still manage to save himself in the process?
I think both animes have a lot in common, both have an almost preapocalipticcal story, both deal with desperate scenes, and i think i've even seen a part really resembling yusuke at Inuyasha while watching the movie. Any way, if you liked one, you'll probably like the other one, since both deal with supernatural powers, and have really arogant protagonists.
