The Kawahira family specializes in dealing with troublesome spirits with the help of inukami, strong dog spirits that take human form. Members of the family are expected to make pacts with strong inukami in order to fulfill their duties, but their family has a black sheep: the perverted Keita, who charges people for his help. His inukami, Youko, is dedicated to make Keita completely hers. Her favorite form of punishment for him when he strays is teleporting him into the city completely naked. He's been arrested for indecent exposure so many times that he's a jailhouse regular, and is considered an outcast by his family and normal society; yet an inukami of the highest caliber chose to be his partner?! The ordinary at first sight boys, may in fact be quite much perverted. That's how it is in both Inukami! and Koharu Biyori. The lead male characters want to monopolize the girls around them, but it's not so easy! The personalities of the two main females differ quite much - while Youko from Inukami! is more agrressive and vengeful, the soft Yui from Koharu Biyori is always ready to forgive but that's after a hit or two with the broom! After all, it's hard dealing with girls, don't you think, boys?
She cooks, she cleans, and is a lethal fighting machine. Mahoromatic, former Vesper battle android, has chosen to give up her weapons, extending her remaining life from 37 to 398 days. As Misato Suguru's maid, she fights battles of another sort, fending off an amorous teacher on one hand, ecchi magazines on the other. Can Mahoro save Suguru's innocence?
Both series feature a similar mix of ecchi humor and the occasional action-scene, and they both star a young man who has a girl living in with them. Said girl has superhuman abilities, a troubled past and an unambiguous disdain for those dirty magazines the boy keeps looking at!
So if you like either one of these series, there's a good chance the other will appeal to you as wel.

Both these anime have a kind of idiocity in them. The main character in both isn't the brightest of persons and always seems te be getting into trouble. This trouble does often coinside with some pantyshots or humor of the same kind. I sincerly enjoyed watching both these anime, and although the humor isn't of the highest level, it is a good way to spend some time and not think about anything else. Just put your mind on 0 and enjoy!
