Basically, both have good romance story to it and the animation is pretty much the same. Although there are no goddess in "If I See You in My Dreams" but Nagisa comes pretty close to it ;-)

Makoto and Yura Onoda are a newly married couple. Luckily for them, even though their marriage was arranged, they are deeply in love. However, even though they are both 25, neither of them have any ‘intimate’ experience, and consequently, they are equally as unsure and clumsy. With a little advice from Yura's friends and sister, this newly-wed couple will eventually get it right and explore the hardships of marriage, and the wonderful world of sex, even in daring places and awkward situations.

While Futari Ecchi shows a later stage in the relationship (after marriage), If I See You In My Dreams has a very similar feel. There is also a lot of cleavage / fanservice in both series, which might appeal to the male audience.

A difference you might wish to watch out for is the fact that If I See You In My Dreams is nearly purely humoristic, while there is actually some educational value to Futari Ecchi.

Meet Saji Keisuke, a hormone-heavy teen who's fallen hopelessly in love with Koizumi, a supposed man hater who refuses to give him the time of day. All he wants is to get laid, but all Koizumi wants is to get as far from him as possible! With plenty of love for Koizumi (in his pants?!) and plenty of distractions to keep at bay (such as big breasted Yuki), can our hero manage to get past second base with the girl of his dreams, or is she destined to stay just in his dreams forever?

Both series feature a lot of slapstick humor and attempts at romance. While there are a lot of similar characters as well, the only major difference is the fact that Iketeru Futari revolves around high school life, while If I See You In My Dreams is situated in daily adult life.

I''s Pure

I''s Pure

It's Christmas Eve and Ichitaka, with his friend Yasuo, await a double date. While waiting for Iori and Nami, Ichitaka reminisces about his experience with his life-long crush Iori. There were many opportunities to finally confess his love to Iori, especially the time when the two were selected to arrange the freshman entrance ceremony; but Ichitaka was either too shy or often misunderstood. The biggest misunderstanding of all was when Ichitaka's childhood friend, Itsuki came to live in Ichitaka's home all the way from the United States...

If I See You in My Dreams and I"s Pure involve sweet budding romance. I think you'll enjoy this if you like the other because the characters fill somewhat similar roles, and the events that occur are executed in the same style. It's romance at its best. I"s Pure has excellent animation and aesthetic aspect; this OVA lived up to its popular manga.
