Eiken

Eiken

When Mifune fell hands first into Chiharu's bulbous, bulging bosoms one day, he had no idea his life would change forever. For the girl is a member of Eiken, a school club filled with busty beauties such as banana-loving Kirika and the exceptionally top-heavy child Komoe, and they've decided to recruit the boy as one of their own! With perverted situations at every turn, Mifune finds himself in frequent compromising positions, whether the group is participating in swimsuit bungee jumping, riding a yogurt slide in pairs or even seductively eating phallic food.

While High School of the Dead has more violence, both of these anime involve some ill-proportioned females who's boobs seem to defy physics.

Gyo and HOTD have a similar attitude towards zombie flick clichés- poking fun at them while playing them totally straight for the viewer. Recommended for those looking for an interesting take on crisis and salvation as well as gore and fanservice. Copious amounts of both await in either one show, but Gyo leans more on gore while HOTD plays up the fanservice.

Hellsing

Hellsing

In present day England, a war is being fought. The average citizen does not notice, but vampires are running rampant among the populace, and it's up to the Hellsing organization to contain the bloodsucker threat, using even their own weapons against them. Alucard, a vampire himself, is the best agent the organization has to offer, answering only to Integra Hellsing herself. No one knows much about this mysterious figure fighting against the occult, but things starts to change after he “recruits” a new agent to the establishment...

HOTD and Hellsing both feature a lot of violence and share a similar theme; fighting the undead. These titles are very blood-covered and action-centered series with nice art and interesting characters, so any fan of zombie-whacking and gunslinging would like both, I'm sure.

If you like one of these animes, you will probably like the other as both series handle their fighting scenes in a very epic way. Art is very detailed and can make certain characters look creepy at times. There is also a good amount of drama that happens between characters and even some romance.

Mnemosyne

Mnemosyne
  • OVA (6 eps x 45 min)
  • 2008

Rin is a private investigator with an advantage: near immortality. Thanks to the spores of the Yggdrasill tree, both she and her assistant Mimi have lived many years longer than the average person. That isn’t to say that being immortal doesn't have its problems. With 'angels' wanting to devour them, the being Apos sending wave after wave of professional assassins to kill them, and constant hangovers from long nights of drinking, being immortal still has its downsides. With Apos' attempts at removing them from the picture increasing, can Rin and Mimi figure out what he is after so they can return to their morning shots of Vodka?

both have gore, and even mnemosyne has 'zombies' at one stage and has immortals too. They both share minor explicit content(mnemosyne being worse) and both are a joy to watch :)
