When the infected approached Rei and Takashi's school, it led to a gruesome blood bath that left the majority of students and staff dead or turned into the zombie-like monsters that have spread throughout the world. Together with a handful of other survivors, Rei and Takashi set forth to find their families in a world that is rapidly detoriating. Governments have collapsed, the killer disease is out of control, and people everywhere are trying their best to simply live through each day...
Over a century ago, mankind was devoured by giant beings of unknown intelligence and origin known as Titans – creatures that eat humans alive indiscriminately and for no apparent reason. The remaining population has managed to survive the last hundred years only by building a multi-walled city capable of keeping the Titans at bay, training military recruits to patrol the perimeter and gather intelligence about their mysterious foe. Eren and Mikasa have lived a relatively peaceful life behind the city's walls, but when a massive Titan appears, smashing the outer barrier and unleashing a wave of terror, their lives are brutally changed forever...
Attack on Titan and HSotD are both shows about humans battling creatures who eat humans for the survival of greater humanity. HSotD is set in urban/contemporary Japan and contains a lot of ecchi, while Attack on Titan is medieval sans ecchi, but both have a gritty & realistic atmosphere.
It's the same in a sense where human kind is trying to survive a type of apocalypse. It also both states how a normal human would react in a time of crisis instead of how people say they'll react.
It's all about survival in both of the anime. The enemies of humans are similar and equally vicious. While Attack on Titan is dark and intense, events in Highschool of the Dead are taking place in a much lighter atmosphere that is spiced up with a bit of humor. That's where they differ, but overall I think that both of them are worth the watch.
Attack on Titan and Highschool of the Dead are both about a group of teens and an adult who are fighting to survive after the End of the World. With plenty of graphic detail, a great plot line, and death all around, these two animes are definetely something to watch.
Both very similar, due to having to fight for survival. One being zombies and the other being titans.
All the perverted Issei wants is to squeeze bountiful boobs all day long, so he's thrilled to join Kuou Academy, a once all-female high school filled with gorgeous girls. But little did the boy know that after finally getting a girlfriend, she'd turn out to be a fallen angel who'd drive a lance through his heart, killing him on the spot! Luckily, the beautiful and busty Rias, his popular classmate who's actually a demon, revives him under one condition: that he'll become her servant. Now, Issei finds himself in the middle of a fierce chess game between demons, fallen angels and exorcists, and the fates of his new friends lie in the balance!
To put it bluntly, both these animes center around action compact with explicit fanservice. Both of their casts involve your average dude bumbling through their respective plot with their not!harems and facing against a supernatural force threatening their existence.
Both shows are an ecchi galore, they do a wonderful job in presenting the girls in the most lewd ways possible.
They also share a great way of presenting battles, so you can rest between all this sexiness.
If you like gender ecchi combinated with action and some comedy you must watch this.
Both have hot and sexy girls which are surprised in situations not really decents, but beautiful for sight(If you are man!).
So if you want a series who can surprise you in any moment you must watch one of this or even both!
For some reason, the two arent related very well but for some reason i find them very similar. Sexiness and violence, Enjoy.
So whats similar in these 2 series?

Ayumu was murdered by a serial killer – at least, he was. For after the mysterious Eucliwood Hellscythe revives him, he changes from a human to a zombie, much to his dismay. Now, in addition to being unable to die, the boy must see to the whims of his supernatural, silent companion – but things continue to get worse from there. As once Ayumu accidentally steals a magical girl named Haruna's powers, he is tasked with the embarrassing, obnoxious task of being a magical girl – err, boy – in her stead! Then with the addition of a hostile vampire ninja to his household, can Ayumu manage to maintain his new home life, fight against attacking monsters, and track down the person who killed him all while attempting to keep what little dignity he has left in tact?
If you only watched Highschool of the Dead for the ecchi and violence, Kore wa Zombie desu ka? takes that package and squeezes in comedy and a diverse set of characters.
Both Kore was Zombie desu ka? and High School of the Dead pack in an insane amount of hilarity, the supernatural and ecchi. HotD is a bit darker but they both have the same humor, using a group of eclectic people battling against dark forces.
they both are are hilarious and have some really good action HOTD might have a little more violence but if you lik one you will like the other.
They are both action-ecchi fests with a thin veneer of plot. HSOTD does this much better than KWZDK however.
Zombies? (Well, if you can call Ayumu a zombie, sure) Boobs? Both have that in spades. Along with that, both animes have a very dark sense of humor.
Encased by trees that are used to make grave markers, Sotoba is a village thought to be surrounded by death - a fact that soon literally becomes the case. One summer, a series of mysterious and untimely fatalities begins to plague the small rural town. With a higher than normal mortality rate for the time of year and each cause of passing remaining unknown, Toshio, the local doctor, and Seishin the temple’s vice chief monk become suspicious and take it upon themselves to investigate. However, as the deaths begin to pile up, more people begin to wonder just what is behind this sudden epidemic; could it have anything to do with the bizarre Kirishiki family that recently moved to the village?
If you have seen Shiki or HotD and you feel warm inside when you think about all the blood and violence then you should definitely check out the other.
Highschool of the Dead and Shiki are both relatively new animes, that truly capture what it is to be a good horror. The graphics are astounding, the humans are both terrified, and brave, and the enemies are familiar.
Both of these anime deal with monster pandemics, have some interesting fashion choices, and for much of the anime centers on the teenage population dealing with the sudden outbreak. While Shiki has vampires, and Highschool has zombies, they both deal with horde-like monsters.
Both are horror genres that I tend to avoid, which are zombies and vampires. Only solidified by the recent popularity of Twilight, I have never liked vampires, however Shiki was instantly riveting and continued to be throughout the entirey of its duration. I never once felt like "oh crap, another predictable vampire story". It has something indredibly special. So if you're about to pass this series over just because of the vampire thing, think again because I'm glad I gave it a chance.
Highschool of the Dead didn't compltely obliterate my zombie stereotypes. I've always felt that most zombie stories are similar. And Highschool of the Dead was no different. On the other hand, it had a strong cast of characters and developed them in an enjoyable way. I don't compeltely understand the whole "ecchi" thing, I guess. I felt that all the nudity was relatively unnecessary and proved a lot of people's negative stereotypes about anime. Defintaely, Shiki's the better series, as far as holding your interest with an amazing mood and tone. But I would definately reccomend both of them.
In the time of the Vietnam War, an American military base in Japan is plagued with a rash of killings whose assailant is unknown. Enter Saya, a mysterious young woman who happens to be the last of the vampire race, and has been charged by her government agency employer to investigate the sinister killings. With demons and creatures abounding, Saya must infiltrate a school to put a stop to the bloodshed -- unless the monsters get to her first...
The undead and the underworld are key elements in HOTD and Blood the Last Vampire. Both are action series following high school student(s) trying to fight the living dead and ensure their own survival. Though they are a bit different in style, I recommend watching both.
High School of the Dead and Blood the Last Vampire have high schoolers fighting against the forces of the undead. Both series are action packed with the students trying to survive the onslaught of underworld beings.
There are some similarities (to me) between Blood and this anime. I am female so the perverted parts just made me roll my eyes (and laugh in some cases). But I liked this plot and the graphics are decent. I enjoyed the "gore" and the plot. The only con I can tell is you don't really get to know the characters and I wish there was a continuation to see if they accomplished their goals. It just kind of leaves you hanging.
