If you're looking for anime similar to High School DxD, you might like these titles. All recommendations are made by Anime-Planet users like you!
After inadvertently managing to kill the god Verethragna, taking his divine powers in the process, the once-typical teen Godou's life changed forever. Now a "Campione", a god slayer, the boy constantly attracts both gods' and other Campiones' attentions alike, not to mention the affections of a powerful knight, Erica. Whether he's dodging Erica's advances, proving his strength to others or taking down gods who will wreak havoc on the planet, Godou's new life is anything but normal.
General story is similar, the main character gains supernatural powers and is dragged into a world of Gods/Devils leading to many fights and forming a harem along the way.
Well there are similar elements in both animes, such as fanservice/ecchi, fighting scenes, loads of humor and girls. It is likely that you would like both animes, when you like one and if you ask me, both animes are definetely worth watching.
Keep in mind though that the male main charakters differ a lot, since the one in High school DxD is quite the perv.
The Campione! and Highschool DxD are very similar in many ways.
1) Both main heroine characters (male) are meeting the girl in a mysterious way without knowing anything.
2) Both anime has a lot of ecchi.
3) Both anime has harem too.
4) Both male are pervert but in Campione!, the boy is not as much pervert as Issei in High School DxD.
5) Both main characters receive later on an amazing power and gets revealed new unseen powers that these powers will get you notice on only in somewhere around at last episodes to the final.
6) Both anime has romance. Both MC Girls in the anime loves the boy and does "ecchi" things against the boy (but in a good way!)
P.S: The Campione! has not as much ecchi scenes as High School DxD, but has as an extra genre, ecchi packed.
So, this is well making the anime similar, right? :P
Both shows have a smilar story with a main character who's suddenly thrown into a world full of magic in wich he has a special power, both feature action, magic and a ton of ecchi so if you liked one you'll probably like the other as well
In this "romantic comedy but sometime serious magical school story," life as Arata Kasuga knows it is wiped out by a bizarre incident known as "Collapse Phenomenon," which causes worldwide destruction and takes his cousin Hijiri Kasuga to the next world. To resolve the "Collapse Phenomenon" and bring back Hijiri, Arata enrolls in the Royal Biblia Academy. Waiting in the school are seven beautiful female magic users — the Trinity Seven.
if you likes trinity 7 then you will like high school DxD both main carter are prevets who learn techues to stip women's couthes off and both are harems
if you like one of them you will definately like the other because they are very similar, for example the story is not important in animes like that, the most important thing would be what you can see. so if you like what you see in one show you will like the other show too.
Both shows are filled with awkward funny situations and the two main characters have matching abilities which fit their personalities.
both anime revolve around a lucky boy in highschool wanting to make a ultamite haram for them self, both leads got their powers during a near death event esi while death and the other in a black hole (not sure what it was maybe a vortex of somesort), the both then meet new people ( mostly girls that lose their cloth while fighting and the guys cloth are unharmed when fighting not gay its just wierd) but both anime have very intersesting and funny seancs of the leads being punched all the time, but also has their moments to shine, the leads slowly win the heartsof all the girls they met and gain new powers by hard work and determination ( for Esi his motive is to SUCK the Rias's boob ( and she agrees))
The "rather risque battle action" story centers around Basara Tojo, a first-year high school student who is flustered by a sudden question by his eccentric father, "Hey, didn't you used to say you wanted a little sister?" Plus, his father announces that he is getting remarried. His father brings over two beautiful step-sisters, but then embarks on an overseas trip. However, the two sisters Mio and Maria Naruse are actually a novice devil and succubus. Basara almost ends up forming a dangerous servant and master contract with them, but due to an error, the contract becomes reversed, and Basara becomes the master instead. To add to things, erotic situations continuously start to happen in Basara's life. However, it turns out Mio is having her life targeted by other monsters and heroes. And so, the "desire/action" tale of the strongest contractor begins.
one episode in and you already know these tow are simillar , deamon chiks ,gauntlet weapons and opai are all over these tow !
If you liked either one you'll like the other. I would wait till The Testament of Sister New Devil is uncensored though for those ecchi fans (this is what I'm doing).
Easily comparable, both series are adaptations of succesful Light Novel series. If you enjoy fast paced magical based action with a bit of shameless perversion from a character or two you'll love either of these series. Natsuru used to be a typical student with a crush on Kaede, one of the school idols, until one day he awakens to discover that he’s turned into a busty girl! Having been chosen to become a Kampfer by the mysterious Moderators, Natsuru is now required to not only fight other Kampfers, but also to transform into a girl while doing so. Aided by a stuffed tiger, Natsuru must now battle it out with other boobalicious babes and continue to try to get close to Kaede – a task that will now be easier as she’s fallen for Natsuru’s female form! Can Natsuru keep his secret safe while maintaining his double life?
For High School DxD, it's kinda like a game, like Kampfer. Both have some perverted scenes and such, and both have the genre of fighting.
kampfer and high school Dxd are alike because they both have a plot werer a person is getting used to there powers and the people around them.
Ever since Tomoki was a boy, he’s dreamed that the girl he loves vanishes into the sky. However, while he’s convinced it’s just a dream, his classmate Sugata is convinced that it’s related to an alleged ‘new continent’ that’s floating around the planet. According to Sugata’s calculations it’s set to pass above their town at midnight, and sends Tomoki to check it out. Little did Tomoki know that at that moment, a scantily-clad angel would fall from the sky! Calling herself a pet-class Angeloid named Ikaros, she promises to fulfill Tomoki’s every wish. Now, Tomoki is able to manipulate panties and do equally as perverted things with ease; but what is Ikaros really here for, and are her motives as pure as they seem?
Both have certain themes such as fan service and humor as one part of the entertainment. But there is also a more serious side that heavily interweaves with the main character's personality. While I think the extreme personality split in Sora no Otoshimono was too far apart for it to be easy to believe when the characte rmade the switch from hentai pervert to serious hero, High School DxD's protagonist has a much smoother transition. DxD also has greater reliance on values and themes such as chivalry, with a very interesting battle mechanics (chess pieces).
Sora no otoshimono and Highschool DxD aren't exactly the same, but when it comes to semi-naked beauties they both pull it off exquisitely. They both have a good amount of humor, but Sora definitely has more. They have different focuses on the main plot, but the feel is very similar. They are both A+ in my book.
