These titles are two older romantic comedies that have a very similar old school 'school life' setting. Just trust me that if you liked one, you'd surely appreciate the other.

MugenNeS

Both old school Anime in a sense of seeking out love, and deep meaningful relationships. Despite minor differences in terms of story, and they are subtle, you'll enjoy both with great pleasure. Especially if you're into old school anime.

Kare Kano and Hiatari Ryoko are lighthearted high school romance anime with mild comedic moments. Hiatari is considerably older than Kare Kano, but both definitely have a similar feel.

Maison Ikkoku and Hiatari Ryoko, in addition to airing in the same time period, are lighthearted comedies about many people inhabiting the same house. Maison is more mature, but both have a very, very similar feel. If you liked one, try out the other.
