Hellsing

The average citizen does not notice, but vampires are running rampant among the populace, and it's up to the Hellsing organization to contain the bloodsucker threat, using even their own weapons against them. Alucard, a vampire himself, is the best agent the organization has to offer, answering only to Integra Hellsing herself. No one knows much about this mysterious figure fighting against the occult, but things starts to change after he “recruits” a new agent to the establishment...

I know your thinking that they are both "Vampire shows" and yes if your really into vampires and anime then either one of these titles should work for you... however I think that the aspect of vampires trying to function in a synergistic way with humans is the primary reason for recomending one for the other.

In both series one of the main characters is beatiful female vampire, for whom there are many enemies waiting for one-by-one combat.

Witchblade and Hellsing have this "hunt for your own kind" theme going on. Also Victoria and Masamu... I mean Masune have few things in common (mostly visual things but not entirely) like being pulled into the conflict. Also the unnatural powers in both series corrupt those who use them. No matter what you liked in one of these series, you should find it in the other as well.

chii

The main characters are employed by world organizations to keep evil at bay. Both are very strong and do things their own way even when the organization doesn't quite approve and consequences will be waiting. If you liked one check out the other.

In both Hellsing and 3x3 Eyes the 2nd main character is killed and brought back to life by his/her new masters. From there he/she must figure out themselves and how to fight with this new power he/she has been given. Both have great storylines, and lots of action and blood.

Both carry a sense of taboo with their story line, playing with religious views and love. For an example, Angel Sanctuary takes a touch of incest (Setsuna loves his sister) and Hellsing is constantly bringing in something to do with religion if not just spirituality in general. Both are great feeds for that more complex, dark side of every anime fan.
