Synopsis:

In present day England, a war is being fought. The average citizen does not notice, but vampires are running rampant among the populace, and it's up to the Hellsing organization to contain the bloodsucker threat, using even their own weapons against them. Alucard, a vampire himself, is the best agent the organization has to offer, answering only to Integra Hellsing herself. No one knows much about this mysterious figure fighting against the occult, but things starts to change after he “recruits” a new agent to the establishment...

Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou Tou

Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou Tou
  • TV (14 eps x 24 min)
  • 2007

In downtown Tokyo, walking the streets has become dangerous once the day turns to night. Lifeless demons called "Oni" have taken over the streets and are devouring innocent citizens of Tokyo, leaving them dry and lifeless. Kyouichi and Tatsuma are two high school students who hold supernatural abilities that allow them to defeat the Oni at night. Though they continue to fight what seems to be a never ending battle, they've yet to discover the main threat towards humanity -- the group working behind the scenes in charge of the Oni...

The main idea in Hellsing and Tokyo Majin is battle against the evil undead to save the city. While in Hellsing it's a rebel vampire fighting with guns against ghouls and other vampires, in Tokyo Majin there's a group of youngsters fighting zombies using magic and martial arts. Well, fighting anyway.

In ancient times, the great Mother gave birth to human beings to populate the Earth, but she also created a race of demons to be mankind's arch enemy, to teach them how to fight fear. Though Twilight of the Dark Master was lackluster, Hellsing fans might appreciate the dark mood and seedy setting that Twilight of the Dark Master Offers. Also, both shows exibited an interesting view into the supernatural mingling with humanity.

Vampire Princess Miyu TV

Vampire Princess Miyu TV

In the human world, there live demonic invaders named Shinma who prey upon the fragile souls of humans. The only hope for the humans is one of demonkind: Miyu, who is fated to destroy the Shinma and send them back to whence they came. Although half-human herself, as well as living amongst them as a typical high school student, she bears no compassion for those she saves, as well as condemns. Along with Larva, her subservient, Miyu sets out to destroy evil, one Shinma at a time.

Vampire Princess Miyu is another series with the "hunt for your own kind" theme combined with a dark story. If you liked Hellsing for that, you should give VPM TV a try.

Now, two agents--a top human agent and a beautiful assassin from the other world--must protect the only man who can seal the treaty from dark world renegades or die trying!

Both animes are about people who fight deamons. They encounter a lot of obstacles but finally the make everything up as it should be. Both contain mainly fight scenes. For me personaly the biggest similarity would be the fighting style of a waiter from Hellsing and hotel ownerfrom Wicked City. If you like shows about demon fighters you'll surely like what I recommend.

Zombie-Loan

Zombie-Loan

Michiru has an unusual ability: she can see a dark ring around a person's neck that signifies their time to die. However, she suppressed her powers once she "saw" the deaths of her parents – until now. After accidentally seeing rings around the necks of two boys in her school, it seems that Michiru's powers are back for good. The two are zombies who are working for the secret loan office known as Zombie-Loan, and they need Michiru's help to find other zombies – those with dark black rings around their necks. Though Michiru initially refuses, due to a series of events it seems she has no choice but to comply...

As soon as I watched Zombie Loan it reminded my instantly of Hellsing. In each, a female character is dragged through into a gloomy underworld of which they previously knew nothing. Their past lives now lost and left behind, they will meet plenty of strange creatures with amazing powers, both friendly and not so friendly.

They will be guided along the way in part my a 'master' figure - Alucard in Hellsing and Shito and Chika in Zombie Loan, who all work for an organization that fights against the supernatural forces that threaten our world. Despite feeling a connection to these men, our heroines are not always treated well, and all three men seek to keep parts of their history well hidden. Expect plenty of gun-toting and sword-wielding action as the protagonists seek out and tackle new threats, with more reveals about the mysterious Alucard, Shito and Chika in each episode.
