Hellsing OVA
Synopsis:
Alucard is a vampire who works for Hellsing – an organization responsible for hunting down and destroying other vampires. In these dark times, whoever is bitten by a vampire turns into a ghoul -- with the exception of Seras Victoria, Alucard’s newly created and appointed apprentice. Now, Seras must serve her master, Alucard and work for Integra Wingates Hellsing. Nefarious vampire activities are being reported throughout England, and it all traces back to the organization named “Millennium”. Will the Hellsing organization, under the command of Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing, be able to prevent a full scale war? Or will the world become a battlefield of destruction?

Dante works as a demon hunter for the office of Devil May Cry, and as he is always in debt he doesn't have the luxury to turn down jobs as long as they pay well. His latest assignment is to be a bodyguard for the young Patty Lowe while she receives her inheritance. During the mission he was able to defeat the demons that got in his way and deliver Patty safely, but upon completion of the mission Dante discovers that Patty will be staying with him – indefinitely! Now, Dante must not only hunt demons and coexist peacefully with other hunters, but also handle the responsibility of taking care of a little girl!

add recBoth DMC and Hellsing are quite dark and have light elements of humor and their fair share of gore. Each is based around a similar background, as well.
Both anime are about devils. Hellsing talks about lord Alucard, a vampire that works for the hellsing company and that kills other vampires. Devil may Cry talks about Dante, son of the demon Sparda, the most powerful and the best swordman in all the demon world. He has an agency that accomplishes all types of missioons that are concerning devils. His agency is called:"Devil May Cry".
Although a short series, it is not to be missed, the storyline was interestin and the ending was a big supprise. Also Dante reminds me a bit of Alucard, red coat, duel handguns ( cant remember if he actually uses them ), and is nto completely human.
If you enjoy watching overly powerful protagonists stab, slash, mutilate, disembowel, and decapitate their ways to easily obtained victories against ghouls, goblins, and demons over and over and over again for an entire series, then it's fairly obvious that you'll like both of these animes. (just so long as you don't mind somewhat shallow story lines)
These animes based totally of freakish violence.
Devil May Cry display many gruesome ways to kill and doing it in style. :D
Hellsing OVA is Hellsings superior counterpart that gives a new meaning to the word "gore", "invincibility", and "monstrosity"

add recIf you're a fan of vampires and a fan of Hellsing I think you'll love Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Both anime are intense and action-packed and both involve vampires. Check it out!
Why would Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and Hellsing OVA go so well together? The answer is they just do. D and Alucard are two characters that are almost the same. They both fall in love with beautiful women and both have intriguing backgrounds. While Hellsing shows more blood but both do it in a taste full manner. The voices of D and Alucard are done both really done well. The supporting cast for both is exceptional as well as all those characters are both well. If you like vampires and the like then watch both of these serious.
I believe that Vampire hunter D: bloodlust and the Hellsing OVA's are alike because, they both contain some related anime art styles, and have the vampires kiling vampires.i also believe that they share a certain shady side to the main charactors if you enjoy that kind of thing, everyone i know that had seen these two had all enjoyed them both very much and is amongst their favorite animes.

add recOk, there are not many similarities between Elfen Lied and Hellsing OVA, but they are both really really gory. If you liked the blood, gore and violence in Hellsing OVA your next anime should be Elfen Lied.
Elfen Lied and the Hellsing OVA share a strong gore ingredient, and both lead characters are mega cool killing machines.
The animation quality is remarkable on both sides and the story lines are remarkably deep; they aren't just like a Saw movie.
Bot elfen lied and hellsing have extreme levels of violence and gore. The main protagonist in both series' also have an air of cold blooded evilness about them which makes for a great atmosphere.

add recAfro Samurai and Hellsing have attitude in abundance, a flair for well choreographed action sequences and a darker undertone to some unlikely protagonists. Despite differences in genre, they will surely appeal to a similar audience and can be appreciated equally for their detailed design.
These two action packed series should satisfy any anime fan who loves to see well animated fighting sequences. If you're a fan of one, then the other one is sure to please. Blood and gore will liter the screen while sword swings, gun blasts, and heavy ordinance is exchanged.
Both Hellsing OVA and Afro Samurai are introducing us to their plot through flawlessly executed action scenes. Moreover they are overflowing with unique style. Afro's western theme and Hellsing's vampires and 3rd reich are unforgettable experiences, that you will connect with their names long after you have watched them.
If stylish action is what you are looking for, you need not look any further.

add recVash and Alucard although totally different in nature are both extremely cool gun toting protagonists. If great gun fighting is your thing then you'll enjoy both series'.
Badass characters, great gunfights, good animation and one hell of a sountrack. What would an anime fan want more? OK it may not be in taste for some people but both series are a very enjoyable to watch.If you liked one you would surely like the other.
