As if this isn't enough, she also discovers that she is the bearer of the Shikon no Tama, a jewel of great spiritual power, a jewel which has just shattered into a million shards. Now, along with Miroku the priest, Sango the demon hunter, and Shippou the mischievious fox-demon, they must set out to find the Shikon shards and defeat the evils of the demon Naraku.

The past-present topic is the center of both. Bold main female characters, monsters and interesting personal issues about everyone is what you get with these two series.

La Corda and Harukanaru are shoujo titles that present romance with a little bit of fantasy. Though both titles claim to be romance, little really goes on with the development of the main character's relationship with another guy. The protagonist is, at most, normal and naive. I think the biggest similarity is the similar presentation of one girl being surrounded by a whole whack of bishies!

With the assistance of his friend Mokkun, he works to increase his skills and abilities as a spiritual protector and guide. With a great deal of will and the quiet assistance of his insightful grandfather, he will become a force of good in the battle against encroaching evil.

Both series take place in medieval times. They are based on legendary fights of priestesses and monks (miko and onmyouji) against evil creatures and vengeful ghosts. Masahiro and Yasuaki are both disciples of famous historical onmyouji Abe no Seimei. If you are interested in this traditional japanese esoteric science, you can observe their methods in very popular and enjoyable way.

Kantarou, the main character in Tactics, is very similar to the character Yasuaki in Harukanaru Toki no Naka de. Both are able to purify things and exercise demons using a combination of hand signs, chanting, and a beaded necklace. They have also both "tamed" a tengu, though the tengu Haruka from Tactics is an angsty bishounen character, while the tengu from Harukanaru Toki no Naka de is an obnoxious chibi character that provides comic relief.
