It is a time of peace between the Earth and the Moon, in the aftermath of the great war between them. On Earth, young Asagiri Tatsuya is amazed to learn that his home is to have a Lunar exchange student, for a homestay guest. Even more amazingly, his guest is none other than the Princess of the Lunar Sphere Kingdom, Feena Fam Earthlight. Yoake and H2O are romances that focus on both the main pair's developing relationship, as well as an additional conflict that they work together to resolve. Yoake is the more stable and less ecchi of the two, which can be good or bad depending on individual taste. But overall, they're certainly similar enough to warrant a recommendation.
I agree because it is very touching and similar. mAKE SURE YOU WATCH both. Both made and will make you feel the feeling inside because they are very good anime. In 12 episode the really done it!
Takumi is a reclusive otaku who wants nothing more than to be left alone to play online games and watch anime. He only attends the minimum necessary to pass his classes, and rarely leaves his cramped room except to purchase the newest figurines. One evening, while Takumi is chatting online with his friend "Grim," a stranger called "Shogun" joins the channel and, after "Grim" leaves, posts a series of disturbing photographs depicting a man impaled to a wall with metal stakes. The following day, Takumi is horrified when he wanders into an alley and once again sees Shogun’s images – but this time, the gruesome scene is reality. From then on, Takumi sees the world through a new set of eyes; imaginary delusions meld with reality, and he isn't sure who he can trust. With suspicions and confusion at every turn, Takumi must struggle to determine what's going on - but most importantly, whose eyes are those eyes?
Both of these animes can fit into the romance genre yet also have a serious psychological aspect to both of them. If you enjoyed h20 or Chaos;Head I believe you would be interested in the other too.
The psychological aspect in Choas;Head and H2O are what really make the two series stand out in my mind as being similar. There is also a slight almost to the weird romantic fascination that overtakes the characters making some decisions more difficult than others to bare.
For Aizawa Yuuichi, returning to the town where he spent his childhood has been an unusual affair. Yuuichi, it seems, has forgotten his memories of the past, including encounters with several young ladies who would love nothing more than to see him again. As the days pass, flickers of the past began to surface, revealing more and more of the dark events that once came to be. As the reuniting continues, Yuuichi soon starts to realize that his past may be far more complex than he once believed it to be...
Memerioes coming out of nowhere, changing someone's life and influencing other people - this is mostly what those anime are like. Moreover, they are kind of harem - one boy to whom many girls are attached. So there is a possibility, that if you liked one, you might enjoy another :)
Maebara Keiichi, an ordinary high-school boy, has transferred to a new school in Hinamizawa, a small rural village. At the outset everything seems peaceful and Keiichi becomes friends with a nice group of schoolgirls with whom he spends many idle summer afternoons. Suddenly violence encroaches upon the blissful peace of the village and Keiichi becomes entangled in an endless cycle of fear and death. The inconsistent, but inevitable horrors of Hinamizawa are told and retold becoming an endless and inescapable nightmare of insanity. Will it end even if the mystery of Hinamizawa is solved?
You may think that these two anime have nothing at all in common, but when you look closer - there it is! Isolated, little village with terrible events from the past that stay as a secret influencing contemprorary life of villagers, and then the boy comming from Tokyo, making commotion, asking inconvinient questions, trying to change things from as they are now and protect his friends. Mystery and drama - this is what you will find in both of these series :)
It's been seven years since Yuuichi Aizawa returned to the city he once lived in as a child. Though many things happened to Yuuichi in his past, he can only remember bits and pieces. His parents left Yuuichi in the care of Akiko once again, and this time, he will attend the same school as his cousin Nayuki. Many different girls appear before him, and some of them seem to know him from his past. Yuuichi must now recover his memories of the dark secrets that he erased from his heart, before he loses his precious ones.
Another guy going into a new place, but this time, there's an even more similar plot; the fact that both guys are looking for something to heal them; one for his memories, and one for his blindness.
Kanon has better animation compared to this H20, but that shouldn't stop you from watching this anime.
