If you liked the Gungrave anime, the Anime-Planet community thinks you'd like:
Duke Tougou - otherwise known as Golgo 13; he's loved by the ladies, hated by his enemies, is enamored with firepower, and can take out a target from several kilometers away. With an arsenal of weapons at his command, Golgo 13 is hired by a variety of people to take down hijackers and more - but he also must protect himself against those who want to take down the legend himself!
Both series are about men who don't need to talk much. Their actions speak very loud when they murder anyone they are hired to or people that simply get in their way. Golgo 13 is mainly episodic murder of the week stories where Gungrave has a clear plot through and through but you'll enjoy watching these manly men kick some serious butt.

If you are looking for another anime that will make you shed tears, then try this one.
Notice that neither of this to show will give you "easy" tear; instead you will be moved by an earnest narration, without abused and easy tricks to make you cry (and that usually give me opposite results).
Evergreen would be a peaceful and prosperous place – if it wasn’t under siege by bandits. Most of the inhabitants have already been killed or driven off, but among the ones remaining is Wendy – a young girl who is intent on finding her kidnapped brother. As the outlaws bring their full arsenal to bear, including one of the dreaded Armor war-machines, the fate of Evergreen looks sealed. However, a slim hope appears in the form of the wanderer Van, who possesses extraordinary martial skills and even an Armor of his own. But Van has motives and goals of his own, which don’t necessarily involve saving besieged towns...
Just the mere look at the animation remind me of each other. Many of the same voice actors are used in both as well. Both also seem to have a moment where it shows you how deep a character's madness has become in each episode.
Alucard is a vampire who works for Hellsing – an organization responsible for hunting down and destroying other vampires. In these dark times, whoever is bitten by a vampire turns into a ghoul -- with the exception of Seras Victoria, Alucard’s newly created and appointed apprentice. Now, Seras must serve her master, Alucard and work for Integra Wingates Hellsing. Nefarious vampire activities are being reported throughout England, and it all traces back to the organization named “Millennium”. Will the Hellsing organization, under the command of Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing, be able to prevent a full scale war? Or will the world become a battlefield of destruction?
Well, maybe it doesn't have much in common in terms of plot but both series are action packed, dark shows that leave impact on viewer. The action sequences are very unique and there's no restrain like "I don't want to kill because it's bad" hell no ! This one is much more like "If you wanna kill then kill and shut the hell up, I'm trying to eat". Worth a try.
Colin Macleod is dead; or at least, he was for a time.
