If you are like me and watched movie version of Gunbuster 2 and really enjoyed it from start to the end, when I recommend you yo watch anime movie Space Battleship Yamato: Resurrection and wise versa. Although Yamato: Resurrection doesn't have that Gunbuster "charm" and is takes more serious approach both anime is about mankind survival and saving our mother Earth. Also both anime sometimes have that over the top feeling ,but I am not saying that is bad thing that what makes those anime both so great and interesting to watch.

Both anime are fueled with sheer amount of madness, followed by some really over-the-top action and larger than life charachters. There are some really cool, flashy visuals and pretty unique bizare world that doesn't much sense in either case. Pacing is fast and to the point, and I think that fans of one will most likely enjoy the other.
