Rave and Ninja have entirely different stories, yet have a remarkably similar feel. Each has a variety of odd creatures and a ragtag cast of heroes who must fight nefarious villains. I know that sounds generic, but trust me - if you like the feeling of one, you'll probably enjoy the other (though I strongly prefer Rave to Ninja).

In the present, the seal on Giri has melted, and two unlikely heroes must save the world once more. Along with an almost-naked old man, a loincloth-wearing wind spirit and plenty of wacky companions, the duo will help townsfolk, gather Guru Guru spells and have plenty of fun in the process!

Rave and Mahoujin Guru Guru follow two characters and their bizarre companions as they embark on a quest to destroy evil. Rave is a bit more adult in nature, but both series have enough random comedy to shake a stick at. If you liked one, try out the other.

Both these series have the adventure theme with the protagonist traveling to find the enemy and train through the process of fighting weaker people. The protagonist both have weapons that can change forms, a sidekick, a support weapon character, etc. If you like the feel of the adventure, then you should watch both of these series.

Similar humor in both, though besides that hardly any similarities. Rave actually has a plot, where shinobuden has none. The frequenty of the jokes is therefor alot lower in Rave than in Shinobuden. Rave also takes place in a fantasy world, while Shinobuden could be confused with a RL series.
