While Chobits is not a shonen-ai anime, both series are about love regardless of what people think. Yuki is the womanizing romance author who falls in love with a male singer. Hideki, a poor cram school student, gets together with the humanoid computer Chi. In both series, both men (or three men, if you include Shuichi) are warned that their love could be a BAD (note the capital letters) thing, but they ignore the warning and live happily ever after (mostly).

Now, he uses his innate singing talent and beginning guitar skills to join with the indy startup band Beck, learning to live a life unlike anything he has ever known...
Both series are highly enjoyable to watch for someone who enjoys or is interested in music. They're both about a singer and their companions trying to find their way in the music business, and as young people, finding their own place in the world. Although the anime styles are completly different, they both have their own charms and anyone who likes one will probably enjoy watching the other.

I know these anime probably dont look like they fit together all that well, but i was watching them before and i couldn't help but notice how they felt simila. It was probably something about the art style that made it feel like that as a part but i do reccommend watching one if you enjoyed the other.
