Maya is a dreamy young girl whose clumsiness is matched only by her absent-mindedness. While others have given up on her, the legendary actress Tsukikage sees her hidden potential and offers to take Maya under her tutelage. Maya loves the theatre more than anything, and as there's not much she can do about it at home, she chooses to run away with Tsukikage. The world of theatre is harsh, however, especially for a naive young girl far away from home. While she finds new friends who support her, her mentor has powerful enemies and Maya is often on the receiving end of their ruthless plans. In face of the adversity, Maya must constantly fight to develop her skills to catch up with her unbelievably talented rival, Ayumi, if she hopes to inherit Tsukikage's legendary role: The Crimson Goddess.
What starts as a simple interview of a legendary actress becomes a journey through the history of Japan. But this is no ordinary lesson; from the perspective of this actress, we learn of the beauty and sadness of love, the pain and regret and joy of the Japanese people and their film, through this film: Millennium Actress.
Both are about a young girls journey through the world of acting and their love (though eventual on Glass Mask's side) for an older man.
Nana Komatsu is on her way to Tokyo; now she can finally be with her boyfriend after a year of dating long-distance! On the train there, Nana Komatsu meets Nana Osaki – a girl who shares her name but seems to be everything Nana Komatsu is not; cool, street-wise, and a punk rocker. The two hit it off and spend the entire journey getting to know each other, but when they get to Tokyo, circumstance separates them seemingly forever. However, fate is not finished with these two. Whilst hunting for a place to live the two Nanas again cross paths. They decide to share a flat and become best friends in no time. Nana K. must learn to be independent and mature, while Nana O. works on becoming famous with her band; but together, they will learn about love and loss, and the growth that comes with it.
Both Nana and GlassMask are very similar as the main character is trying to fullfill their dream having support of close friends.While nana is more focused on friendship ( between nana and nana :P) Glass mask is more focused on rivalry and passion to archeive best actress
They are both very good animes :) some of my favourites! If u like one your'll love the other ^^!
Meet Ryoma Echizen, the cocky prince of tennis. He comes to Japan from America where he is known as the Prince of Tennis – but that is no surprise considering he is the son of the former tennis pro, Nanjiroh Echizen, otherwise known as the Samurai! Upon transferring to the school Seishun Gakuen, he meets the regulars of the tennis club, and becomes the first freshman to become a regular; but he has a lot to learn yet about being a tennis star. Ryoma, along with the rest of his teammates, aspire to win the Nationals; but first, they must defeat the other teams which stand in their way!
Both series tells us about strongly pronounced characters, what are going to score a success. We can see how the main chacters go through all the difficulties in sport/theatre. Every new episode makes us more and more interested in what's going to happen in future. Both series are not about a short period of time, no. It's about years of hard work.
Sunao Konoe has just transferred to a new school and quickly makes new friends in the flirtatious Shinichi, loud Kinu and other classmates, but what she really wants is to form a theater club. Glass Mask and Tsuyokiss Cool x Sweet both involve girls that are trying to act. Each series brings out the different experiences the girls have to face while also focusing on the underlying aspects of their personalities.
