It is said that deep in the mountains of Ohu, in a place called Futago Pass, there exists a paradise for dogs. Fourteen years ago, the legendary Gin led many warriors against the evil bear Akakabuto and won; now, in the present, Gin's secret son, Weed, has just learned the news of his father's identity. Alongside companions such as the English Setter GB, young and lovable Mel and his late mother's friend, Uncle Smith, Weed sets forth to find his father; and along the way, he meets new friends and defeats powerful enemies alike!

Kiba is a wolf, one of the last of his kind, and his dream is to find Paradise in a world torn asunder by war. Cheza, the legendary Flower Girl, can lead him to Paradise, but there are others who desire her, and help from other wolves at his side may not be enough. Driven by his noble spirit, he will not forsake his quest.
Both are about canines that have intense battles with a lot of action, lovable/admirable characters, and great plots.
Both are about peace for their worlds. They both have cute animals, and interesting ways of thinking how their worlds' would end as they know it! (There are a few bloody scenes, if you're not into that, don't bother watching it!)
Wolf's Rain and Ginga Densetsu Weed have both dogs/wolfs that travels around to find a better place to live in.
