Major Season 1

Major Season 1

Goro Honda is a little boy who is obsessed with baseball. As a child, he watches his father, a professional baseball player, be removed from the Blue Oceans’ main team due to a shoulder injury that left him unable to pitch again. However, since his son looks up to him more than anyone else in the world of baseball, Goro's father decides that he can't quit just yet (as pitching is not the only way to be able to play baseball!). With his father's shining example, Goro decides to never give up as well, working his way into the Japanese Little League as a force to be reckoned with!

In both, a charismatic young boy with a indomitable 'can do' attitude leads the worst sporting team in a fight against the best, with gripping results. In addition, there are several emotional personal stories which add more depth. Major has better animation simply because it's a more recent anime, but I bet it also is more intense whithout losing that good-natured empowering feel. If you enjoyed Ganbare! Kickers, you will wholeheartedly fall in love with Major.

In both anime shows there is boy who loves a certain sport. Daichi who loves soccer and Honda Goro who loves baseball. Both main characters are high-spirited persons who are giving their best, they are really stubborn too.

Beside the main charachters there are the "team mades" and frends who are supporting our heroes. More depth to the shows are giving the personal stories from the characters.

Daichi and Goro are fighting through some difficulties but never loosing "the spirit" and they are doing some progress :)

Simply put ;D when you like Ganbare! Kickers you will like Major Season 1 :) and when you liked Major Season 1 you will want to watch Ganbare! Kickers :D

Enjoy watching ^.^ Cheers :)

There aren't a lot of sports anime out there that are aimed solely at young ones; Ganbare and Inazuma Eleven are two such anime. If you liked one, try out the other.

Inazuma and Ganbare! are about a group of really young football players who loves playing the game, that's pretty much it.

Asunaro is a new student at a school with three baseball teams; the first is renowned as being one of the best in the prefecture, but the third, Asunaro’s team, is filled with the rejects and unskilled of the baseball world. As the baseball instructor deems them to be nothing but trash, he informs the team that they will be disbanded in one month – that is, until one of the players begs him to let them play a single game. They’ll be up against the first team, and if they win, they’ll get to take over the title and even work their way towards playing at Koshien Stadium. With the help of Kaido, an ex-member of the first team, Asunaro and his friends will do whatever it takes to show they’re more than meets the eye!

Ganbare and Meimon are two sports anime about loser teams that are determined to prove themselves as worthy. If you liked one, the other will entertain you.
