Synopsis:

Much time has passed since the crew of the Star Leaf traveled the galaxy to defend the Planet Chaos. The Solnoids and Paranoids have continued their grueling battle in space, leading to the loss of both of their homeworlds. When a Solnoid ship retrieves a pile of wreckage and find ex-Star Leaf shipmate Lufy frozen inside, the crew decide to revive her. Lufy, grieving the loss of her mission and crewmates, is horrified to learn of the Species Unification Plan that was attempted and failed in her absence - not to mention the fact that another android clone of Catty is aboard the vessel. Together, Lufy and the crew will head towards the last Solnoid stronghold of space to take a stand for the both fate of the two races, and the hope of the third race.

As with Eternal Story, if you enjoyed Destruction you'd enjoy Vandread as well (specifically 2nd stage, but you'd need to get through S1 first). There are spoilers I could give that would help with the recommendation, but beyond that they are very similar in tone and feel. Both also take place in the recesses of space and have lots of alien spaceship battles. Gall Force is less overt with the ecchi (or at least, it's not played off as ecchi on purpose, just has a lot of nudity for no reason) so you'd probably enjoy that aspect of both as well.
