Saber Rider and Future Police Urashiman are both excellent follow-ups for those wanting to relive the childhood anime experience. Once you've seen one and become addicted to the cheesy comedy, great 80s action and costume changes, as well as the liberal use of laser guns, all smoothed over with a serious plot, then be sure to feast your eyes on the other.

Lupin III: Castle Of Cagliostro

Lupin III: Castle Of Cagliostro

After robbing a casino and finding out the entire take was counterfeit, Lupin and Jigen are off to the duchy of Cagliostro to find the source of this trickery, and to stop it. Upon arrival, the two become entangled in a car chase between a woman in a wedding dress and several men in a black car. Before she is kidnapped, this woman passes off a ring to Lupin, a ring that sparks his interest more than counterfeit money ever could. Unfortunately for Lupin it also grabs the attention of those who want the ring back, and would kill him for it in a heartbeat.

If you enjoyed the silly crime-busting caper through futuristic Tokyo in Future Police Urashiman, then you won't help but adore one of Miyazaki's finest, Castle of Cagliostro. With similar slapstick humour (albeit more effectively executed), outstanding characters that shine, and a zany but classic mystery, you cannot go wrong with this as your next choice.
