Nanami used to live in a ramshackle apartment with her father - a man who spent half his time gambling and the other half hiding from debt collectors - until one day the scoundrel ran away, leaving his daughter hungry and homeless. That is, until she meets a mysterious stranger in the park who deems her the new goddess of a local shrine! Unfortunately, Nanami’s new home is occupied by Tomoe, a fox familiar who objects to the presence of a mere mortal and immediately begins to bicker with the girl. If she can manage to form a contract with the troublesome man, he’ll be obligated to accept and help her perform her duties. But there’s a catch: Nanami has to kiss him first, and who’d want to lock lips with that awful guy?!
Maybe not so obvious, but in my opinion, both of them have same theme about girl, that ends up in a "world" she doesn't know a thing about and she needs to get a grip of everything before something or someone will kill her :D Also Tomoe and Tamahome...they are similar too, hot and hero-ish ;) and... they have some personality problems :D
Naraku has completely tainted the Shikon jewel, and with only a few shards left to claim, he’ll soon be invincible. Inuyasha, Kagome and the rest of their companions are the only ones who stand in the man’s way, and he’ll stop at nothing to see their demise. But the motley crew of heroes has their own personal hurdles to overcome on the way to victory, such as Kagome settling her rivalry with Kikyo, Sango coming to terms with her living corpse of a brother, Miroku’s impending demise from his ever-widening wind tunnel, and Inuyasha’s quest to discover the true purpose of the two swords left to he and his brother, Sesshomaru. One thing’s for sure, the gang’s struggles will only make them stronger as they prepare for the biggest battle in the history of feudal Japan!
In the fantastical land of Amawakumi, a succession ceremony occurs each 30 years to pass control of the kingdom to a female heir of the Hime clan. But three decades ago, the Hime clan was unable to produce a daughter and was warned that if history repeated itself, the entire clan would be purged. Now faced with the same problem in the present, the Hime clan opts to send their disguised son Arata to the ceremony instead, unaware that he’d be sent into a trap where the former princess is murdered and the boy would be framed for the crime. Meanwhile, on Earth, Hinohara suffers a similar sense of betrayal at the hands of his classmates, and after wishing he could just disappear, he and Arata switch bodies. Now, as Arata struggles to find a way to return the two to their own worlds, Hinohara must try to escape capture, clear Arata’s name and fulfill this princess’s last wish by exposing her killers.

Both of these anime feature a young, female person in a strange world as the centrepiece of the story, who finds allies in those she meets along the way, who are integral to her survival. These strong allies are also vital, noble friends even in the face of pain, grave danger - and even if facing their own mortality.
Both central female characters are 'alien' to the land on which the story is largely based, and both of them possess unique 'special abilities', which are valuable aspects of their characters, and prevents them from becoming mere damsels. These females show courage, even when facing the ultimate consequences, but they also both possess an inner wellspring of peace, and are able to calm even the most dire situation with their nobility, love and heartfelt gratitude.
Both central characters would prefer to sacrifice themselves than see anybody they love suffer on her account, and this is a classic component of the female heroine when displaying too much inner strength for the enemy to manipulate. These female protagonists are both exceptional characters who carry the world on their shoulders, and the lives of the populace and everyone they love, so that those who may not even know them may live on in relative peace, without needing gratitude or praise.
