Black Cat and Full Metal Panic have one major aspect in common: Nonstop action with a dose of romance. Both follow male protagonists battling male antagonists who either have very close ties to a girl that they vow to protect, or a girl that has changed their life. If you liked one you're sure to like the other. Animation is very well done on both, and the backgrounds are so detailed its as if they are substituting their reality, for your own.

ROD the TV and Full Metal Panic! are two anime that are generous with the humor, but still have a mission to be completed. They're action-packed shows with hilarious antics. Also, both have characters that stand out; interesting, well-developed, and funny! If you enjoyed watching one, I recommend you watch the other.

Although FMP! has mecha action, both these anime are otherwise very similar.

They both feature a large amount of comedy, and the realtionships between the leads are similar.

Reason: Both series deftly mix comedy, action, and drama. They also both have excellent English dubs for those who don't like reading subs (like me).
