Both anime have cutesy moments, moments of dry humor, and overall amazing plots. The Fantasy aspects of these two anime are just incredible. :)

The main reason for this recommendation is "cute boys doing cute boy things", but also because a lot of the personality types you find in Fruits Basket, you'll also find in Touken Ranbu Hanamaru. While Fruits Basket has a more reverse harem vibe than Touken Ranbu, they both have quite a bit of drama. It also helps that the main cast isn't exaclty human in either anime. With a lot of slice of life aspects, drama, and a range of colorful male characters, you're sure to have favorites in each.

Both shows are very innocent and heartwarming. These are both shows that will cheer you up if you are feeling upset or are also good if you want to watch a relaxed and laid-back sort of show.

Fruits Basket has more of a romantic influence in terms of genres while Barakamon focuses on self-improvement.

Kanon and Fruits Basket both have fantasy/supernatural elements to them, while also telling many asects of love, friendship, and family. Kanon is much more of a cutesy anime than Fruits Basket is, but they will both appeal to the same audience.

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun

Chiyo Sakura, a high school girl who fell in love with the unrefined boy schoolmate Umetaro Nozaki, decides to be courageous one day and asks him out. Her feelings weren't conveyed properly, and before she knew it she ends up helping a particular job of his as an assistant... The series is a shojo manga boy comedy which centers around Nozaki, a high school boy that is a popular shojo manga artist, and has a story woven by very individualistic characters.

I recommend both of these anime for someone who just wants to sit and watch an anime that cute and is just fun to watch. While Fruits Basket's plot is more fleshed out than Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, they both cute shows to just sit down and relax to. They're both romances and have episodic style in the series. Additionally, in both shows, you come to like almost all the characters due to the nature of the show. Not to mention while neither (English) dub from the two shows isn't mind-blowing, they aren't bad on their own. So as I said, are good to watch while doing work or something of the sorts. So if you like either of the shows think about checking the other out.

School Babysitters

School Babysitters

When Ryuichi and his 2-year-old brother Kotaro's parents die in a plane crash, the brothers are adopted by a woman who lost her son in the same incident: the wealthy chairwoman of Morinomiya Academy. She's empathetic to the brothers' plight, but her kindness has a cost: she's opened an on-site daycare for the staff's children, but doesn't have enough people to run it. None of the students have been interested in helping, and the only adult childcare worker spends more time sleeping than caring for the children. The chairwoman's solution? Put Ryuichi to work as the very first member of the school's new "Babysitter's Club"!

This may initially seem as an odd choice as Fruits Basket doesn't contain any toddlers or babies like School Babysitters, but what they do share is a teen protagonist that are resilient and kind and have a healing aura around people. They both posess an optimistic way to look at the conflicts and issues thrown their way making it hard to discourage them.

Fruits Basket does have a more romantic storyline, yet both stories rely on the relationship that the characters share with each other in order to drive the story forward.

Both are uber sweet and the main characters are nice to everyone/have a friendly feel. Though in Fruits Basket the main character is not being pushed around by the boys where as in Brothers Conflict the boys are constantly pulling her into kisses and demanding that she would pick them (also there are more boys in this one so, you feel the reverse harem much more.)

If you like Kakuriyo or Fruits Basket, you would like the other because both anime features a lead female who is just an ordinary human who becomes involved with supernatural/fantasy characters. They both have a "light-feel" persona and the need of helping one another out in some form.
