Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight

Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. Yuki Cross and her friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds at night and supervise the switchover of classes at dawn and dusk to prevent any 'accidents' from happening. While Zero is suspicious of vampires and hates the idea of sharing the same space as them, Yuki admires the Night Class for their beauty and sophistication; she is especially intrigued by their charming leader, Kaname, because he once saved her life. However, as Yuki quickly learns, not all vampires are amiable like the Night Class, and as terrible events unfold, Yuki must ask herself whether in a world where vampires are the hunters and humans are the prey, peaceful coexistence can really be achieved.

Both about vampires, In Fortune Arterial the vampires are the student council members, while in Vampire knight they're group students taking night classes only.

Both of the animes presents the vampires as attractive and charming students with supernatural power.

If you like one the other is a must ♥. ^^

KittyEmperor KittyEmperor says...

While both feature vampires living somewhat normal lives among those of normal humans as well as the fact that the vampires have for the most part completely charmed the normal student population.  A big difference between the two is that in Fortune Arterial the vampires run the student council and lead really no different lives than that of normal students, but in Vampire Knight the vampires lead somewhat different lives than normal students that they attend night classes seperate from the normal students.  Nevertheless if you enjoyed one of these then you may want to consider watching the other.

This anime is a lovve triangle and is a perffect combination between vampires, romance, and drama. If you like all those, then it'd be a waste not to watch it

They both have storylines based on vampires wanting to co-exist with humans. There is also a familiar thread of longing for the blood of their loved ones throughout both animes. I really enjoyed both of them.

Rosario to Vampire

Rosario to Vampire

His parents have managed to enroll him in a school, but it's no ordinary school! Tsukune will be attending the Youkai Academy, a place where monsters learn how to co-exist with humans! As the werewolves, vampires, witches and other monsters are required to retain their human forms, Tsukune - the lone human - is able to avoid their bloodthirsty gazes. However, he quickly attracts the attention of a number of devilish beauties including the vampire Moka, a busty succubus and even a young witch! It seems Tsukune's average life isn't so average anymore!

After Twilight shining vampires aren't nothing new but there are even cases in anime industry where vampire depictions aren't so grimdark as they usually are. Here we have vampires who don't initially pose a threat to humans but try to co-exist as much as possible and don't have the stereotypical weaknesses which allow them to go to school like all the other kids do.

There is also romance involved, so if you're looking for anime with light romance and a tad bit of comedy involving vampires these shows are the right pick, though again enjoyment may vary from person to person.

KittyEmperor KittyEmperor says...

Besides both featuring a vampire as one of the main cast both also feature a normal young male lead who comes to learn that the world he has entered is not completely as it seems.  As well as the fact that the vampire in both series try to and want to seek a somewhat peaceful coexistence with humans.  The biggest differnce between the two is that while in Fortune Arterial it's a world mostly dominated by humans and the vampires are a somewhat minor existence and in Rosario to Vampire it mainly takes place in a place that is mostly dominated by monsters and the sort.

In these anime, a normal boy who has transfered to a new school encounters new people, some of which are supernatural. He learns to live with them, and gains more knowledge of them throughout the series. There is mild romance in both of these anime, along with some humor, and some saddening parts.

Karin

Karin

Karin is a vampire, but as fate would have it she is a freak among her own kind; for Karin doesn’t drink the blood of her counterparts – she is cursed to be a blood maker, forcing her to inject her extra blood into her victims. What’s worse is that if she doesn’t find an outlet for the blood in time, it explodes in a massive nose bleed of impressive volume. In Karin's twisted day-going state, she finds it nearly impossible to find safe victims; so, nose bleeds are a major problem. When transfer student and new classmate Usui Kenta proves to have exactly the kind of emotions her vampire nature most enjoys, she finds herself in comedic dire straights!

In both anime the plot is about vampires that secretly live among humans. A main protagonist (human) learns the secret and swears to keep it. On the other hand there is also a female protagonist (vampire) that trusts him and (possibly) develop romantic feelings. Sometimes serious, sometimes funny, both anime have a lot of things to share!

If you liked Fortune Arterial then you may like Mahou Sensei Negima (and vice versa) because both feature young male leads as they try to adapt to new lives while they run into various oddities within the world.  Though Fortune Arterial only really features vampires as the oddity of the world and Negima has a wide assortment of odd being with everything from robots, vampires, ghost, ninjas, and mages.  The various cast of both series try to keep that which makes them unique a secret from not only their classmates but the world at large so that they can lead normal everyday lives.

Happiness!

Happiness!

In a world not unlike our own, mages are commonplace and schools are separated between normal students and magic users. Yuma Kohinata is a student at one such school, Mizuhosaka Academy. On the way home from buying chocolates with his androgynous friend Jun, Yuma is given chocolates from school idol Haruhi Kamisaka; things become even more complex once the magic wing of the school has a gas explosion, displacing all of the magic students into the normal section – including Haruhi! Now, Yuma finds himself thrust into the world of magic, and must deal with the various women who vie for his affections; can he juggle his priorities and continue to pass his classes?

Reasons you might like Happiness!...

Annalyn Annalyn says...

Fortune Arterial and Happiness! are both about a rather mellow guy (not boring or even weak, just slightly mellow) with classmates who have some sort of power. They're both quasi-harem, and proud of it. But these two anime succeed in keeping my attention. They both:

1. Had an element of sweet romance.

2. Combated potential flops in the ho-hum harem school romance ideas with something fantastical: vampires in Fortune Arterial and magic in Happiness!.

3. Stopped themselves just short of chasing me off with too much fan service.

Happiness! stays a bit more focused on the magic side of things than Fortune Arterial did on the vampire side in the first several episodes. However, they both end up being quite interesting in that departement. Interesting enough to make up for any harem tendencies (sorry. As a girl, I can't help that these details don't charm me).

To sum it up: if you liked one, I am 95% sure you'll like the other.
