I was hoping this anime would have a more complex purpose-driven plot to it.  Unfortunately, it was more of a copy and paste plot of the first show. Save oppressed people. Save the girl and beat up the super strong bad guys that everyone else isn't willing to face.  ***Spoiler alert*** I felt like the previous anime did a good enough job explaining the three or four core "brothers" relationship. I didn't like the addition of the island and the blood brother. It felt like that was pulled out of a hat.  I also wish Bat and Lin contributed more to the fighting and story since they grew up so much. ***On a side note- Kenshiro doesn't seem to age at all*** Bat and Lin were useful in the army before Ken, but they soon turned into useless tokens. This is an average anime. 5/10. If you really liked the first fist of the north star, there is probably a 50-50 chance that you will like this one. If you thought the first F.o.t.n.s. was just ok or slightly above average, steer clear of this one.
