Both E7 and D.Gray-man are about boys in similar circumstances with similar ideals. In each there is a war surrounding them, and they are the last best hope for it all. Using their sheer willpower and belief they fight for those who they care about.

If you like anime with action and a humanitarian side then these anime are for you.

Dragon Drive

Dragon Drive

Throughout his life, Oozora Reiji has always been rather half-hearted. Never able to fully dedicate himself to anything, he lives a sloppy day-to-day existence, until his classmate Yukino introduces him to Dragon Drive -- a virtual reality game. While Reiji garners a passion for the game, it would seem that its founders have other things in mind than simple entertainment. Both Eureka Seven and Dragon Drive are about friendship, love and overcoming one's limits. It's all about the challenge and to strive forward no matter what. They are just two of those few series out there that leave you thinking "WTF, only 50 episodes?! Give me more god dammit!" That's the kind of series these are!

Watch, fall in love and crave for more!

Both series are about fights, of course there's a great difference between the two of them, but they have in common a great love story between the two main characters, if you liked the relationship between eureka and Renton you'll also like the great relationship of Ren and Coud, both relationship gives a great feeling when you see how their love grows up and becomes stronger. Also Coud and Renton are always protecting their girls from any danger, and they suffer when they fail to protect Ren and Eureka. Also the relationship between human and beings which aren't human (coralian, in the case of eureka, and the edhil raids, in the case of erementar gerad), is also a big point in common, so you'll pretty sure like one if you liked the other.

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

Following a disastrous event known as "The Second Impact," humanity teeters on the brink of extinction. Having not completely eradicated mankind previously, creatures known as Angels begin attacking once more in an attempt to create a third, and final, catastrophe which will annihilate mankind once and for all. When conventional weapons fail to stop the Angels, however, the Japanese military organization NERV proposes the use of strange mecha called Evangelions. When the first Evangelion rejects its pilot, though, NERV's commander is forced to draft his estranged son, Shinji, as mankind's savior. Bitter of his father's estrangement and insecure in his abilities, Shinji struggles to overcome his doubts and fears in the face of certain death, but ultimately continues to fall short despite his efforts. As he slowly improves his skills, however, he must come to terms with the greatest question of all: is humanity worth saving after all?

Each of these series focuses around an odd girl, a boy that is eclipsed by his father, some odd mechas, and some mindf*ck. If you enjoy humanity versus something not-quite human and a boy's coming of age tale, you'll enjoy both of these.

Fate/stay night

Fate/stay night

The Holy Grail War is a battle between seven magicians who each summon a mythical hero to fight for their cause. Shirou, a twice orphaned high school boy, had so little magical talent that his foster father did not bother teaching him about the war and its meaning. Thanks to that lack of foresight, Shirou finds himself in a bit of a pinch when he accidentally summons a hero of the strongest class, and is sucked into the fray. The Grail grants the winner any wish they have. But driven by an unyielding sense of justice and self-sacrifice, for what will Shirou fight?
