Shinnosuke Nohara is a crude and rude five-year-old child with a penchant for dirty and inappropriate comments. Whether he's blackmailing his mother for an allowance, dropping his drawers, or snubbing girls at the playground, there's nothing the lecherous Shin-chan can't enjoy. Along with his dysfunctional family and wacky friends, Shin-chan will tackle life's daily problems - one exciting moment at a time!
These two titles showcase similar art styles and crude humor. Though both are presented in a way that would appeal to young viewers, it would be best not to let the young ones watch by themselves.
Both shows use sexual references, although Ebichu is almost entirely based on topics regarding the matter. The protagonists also have a knack of pissing off other characters with little to no effort.
If you found one entertaining, you'll definitely enjoy the other.
F City, F Prefecture: the battleground where good and evil have finally chosen to decide once and for all who will rule the world…or at least that's the general idea! Neither side seems up for the task, as surviving the brutality of everyday life is enough of a chore. On the side of evil is the organization of Across, its only member the loudmouthed and abrasive Excel who struggles just to put food in her stomach; on the side of good, three disenfranchised, unemployed bachelors whose only pursuit in life is romance. Add in alien invasions, jungle warfare, and Mexican immigrant laborers to Japan, and this war doesn't seem likely to be ending soon!
Ebichu and Excel Saga are different series. Quite different, to be honest, both in style and general design. Excel Saga is far bigger, more nonsense and ambitious, with the decent animation and the merciless parody machine-gun plot, while Ebichu is obviously an assumed low budget series, consisting of short episodes with extremely shabby but cute animation, with lots of sexual jokes. Even so, both of them share two important characteristics: the fact that they exist for laughing purposes and nothing more (yes, there is anime WITHOUT any sort of dramatic background) and, taking the leading role, the unique Mitsuishi Kotono! You've heard her as Sailor Moon, you've her her as Evangelion's Misato, Utena's Juri and many more and you can also hear her playing both Excel and Ebichu. And believe me, she really marks both series. Her hysteric pitches are SO characteristic that the voices become quite similar, and they take a big part in both series which, I think I have already refered, are both for laughs only, with lots of irreverent humor and showers and showers of nonsense and silliness.
Fans of one of these series are probably going to enjoy the other.
The pure and innocent Nanako Matsutaka is a seemingly normal girl with a normal student life, except that she’s enrolled in a Pervert Physiology Course run by the depraved Professor Meshiya! Being a naïve girl with no sexual experience and a disdain for anything perverted, Nanako is at the bottom of her class. As she attempts to avoid flunking out of the course, Nanako works alongside her classmates – the calm and collected Konogi, perv extraordinaire Mizukoshi, porn enthusiast Michikawa, and the co-dependant couple Taguchi and Makiko – in order to complete her various “assignments” from Professor Meshiya.
Both these anime are very comical, and perverted. They have a silly art style and the characters all use very crass language. Sex is insinuated in Hen Zemi where in Ebichu it's often shown but isn't as graphic as a hentai though the anime depicts sounds and the situations are often based off real life relationships.
Meet Saji Keisuke, a hormone-heavy teen who's fallen hopelessly in love with Koizumi, a supposed man hater who refuses to give him the time of day. All he wants is to get laid, but all Koizumi wants is to get as far from him as possible! With plenty of love for Koizumi (in his pants?!) and plenty of distractions to keep at bay (such as big breasted Yuki), can our hero manage to get past second base with the girl of his dreams, or is she destined to stay just in his dreams forever?
Iketeru Futari has a lot of 'ecchi' moments as well as a similar humor. However, it is not as perverted as Ebichu. I'm sure you'd still like it though.
She cooks, she cleans, and is a lethal fighting machine. Mahoromatic, former Vesper battle android, has chosen to give up her weapons, extending her remaining life from 37 to 398 days. As Misato Suguru's maid, she fights battles of another sort, fending off an amorous teacher on one hand, ecchi magazines on the other. Can Mahoro save Suguru's innocence?
