Several years ago, Jin Kamishina's family was killed in what appeared to have been a space shuttle accident. A few years later he is suddenly attacked by a strange monster, but is saved by a strange girl named Toa who possesses superhuman strength and can transform into a dragon. Jin finds out that the accident was not due to an error by his father, the pilot, but rather as a result of a collision with an object from outer space – the asteroid Thanatos, the source of destructive dragons appearing on Earth. As they make new friends and enemies, Jin and Toa now find themselves becoming increasingly entangled in the mysteries of the ISDA – a shadowy organization working to protect humanity – and the dragons themselves...
both Dragonaut and Kiddy Girl-And feature space opera as a main tag and also both animes feature Fan Service aspects (Kiddy Grade is abit more decent then Dragonaut which exceeds in terms of bra-sizes and i mean huge sizes). In both animes there are also agents and organization involved. So if you enjoyed watching one of this two shows then you will definitely like the other one as well.

In a post-apocalyptic future, Tokyo III is under attack from mysterious creatures called Angels and only the mecha known as Evangelions can stand against them. Shinji Ikari is a lonely and disturbed boy who was specially selected to be one of the three child pilots for the Evangelions; however, fighting his fears and battling alien creatures are two very different things, and neither is easy. Can Shinji conquer his weaknesses in time to save humanity, or will his confused emotions and the Angels doom the entire world to extinction?
If you like this anime yoou can't dislike the second and third part of the saga Evangelion, Death and Rebirth. Both of those anime are about combats for the safe of the human race. If you like Dragonaut, you cannot refuse to watch a masterpiece like Evangelion.
End of Evangelion is an alternate ending to the Evangelion TV series (replaces episodes 25/26). In this powerful conclusion, the final battle against the Angels is fought, and questions are finally answered. The fate of the world lies with Shinji, but how will he act?
So if you liked Dragonaus, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Evangelion Death and Rebirth, You have to watch the last anime OAV that completes the entire saga of evangelion. Those anime are very similar between them. So if you want to enjoy another interesting anime, you have to watch it!
In the year 2070, a giant object appears over the skies of the small town Tenmo, scrambling the electrical grid and confirming the existence of extra terrestrial life. To young Hajime Morata, this news is exciting and new - but to the townspeople, school council members and even the new exchange student Muryou Subaru, nothing going on in the skies is out of the ordinary. For it seems that Earth houses both intergalactic ambassadors and planet defenders alike - at least one of whom can use the power of the giant Shingu to battle incoming invaders - and Hajime is somehow connected. In addition to helping plan school festivals and living his day to day life, Hajime slowly begins to discover the secret behind his town and himself.
Well these are and aren't similar at the same time. Meaning that even though both are people fighting aliens trying to destroy earth, complicated relationships, the main character guy being weak and the main character girl being strong the animes still have major differences. Mainly the graphics and its hard to say but Shingu is more realistic if you understand what I mean.
