Miyuki-Chan In Wonderland

Miyuki-Chan In Wonderland

Miyuki, a normal Japanese schoolgirl, wakes up just in time to embark on the most unusual trip she'll ever take: a non stop journey to Wonderland! Along the way she'll meet up with a purrfectly sinful Cheshire Cat, a Chinese take on Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum, the scariest Queen of Hearts you'll ever encounter and a score of other beautiful women as she delves into the rabbit’s hole... in the middle of the sidewalk!

Dragon Half and Miyuki-chan are both cute little OVAs about girls put in ridiculous situations in fantastic worlds. While both have mild sexual overtones, you can't help but laugh at the weird things that happend to Miyuki and Mink.

Nerima Daikon Brothers

Nerima Daikon Brothers

What do you get when you cross a farmer, a seductress, and a gigolo? The Nerima Daikon Brothers! These two guys and a gal would like nothing more than to sell out arenas and entertain the masses, but a lack of money and fame make this dream impossible. With the help of lecherous producers, a daikon-stealing panda and a crew of backup dancers, the trio must sing their way to the top and build the stadium of their dreams, lest they stay unknown and penniless forever!

Both mock fromulaic work and have some truely silly yet epic music. Though  nothing in NDB tops Dragon Half's ED theme. So very wacked.

watch it online now!

Ozanari Dungeon

Ozanari Dungeon

Moka, Buruman, and Kiriman are a motley crew of mercenaries who work odd jobs for the Guild. While on the look for new employment, they come across an old man named Foron, who hires them to find the legendary artifact Dragon's Head. Unknown to Moka and the gang, Foron works for the evil King Gazel, who desires the ultimate power of the Dragon's Head at any cost. Now, to keep the artifact safe from evil's hands, they must travel to all of the ancient elemental temples -- and no temple is complete without treasures, danger, and, of course, monsters!

While different storywise, essentially both of these are short comic fantasy OVAs from the 90's recommended for anyone who enjoys the genre.

Photon: The Idiot Adventures

Photon: The Idiot Adventures

A troublesome girl named Aun has stolen her village's holy item and has run away to marry a rock star; and because this sort of thing has happened before, her adopted brother Photon, a slightly clueless boy with superhuman strength, has been sent after her. Along the way he stumbles upon a naked rebel named Keyne (who, consequently, is being chased by a pervert who can’t seem to keep his clothes on); and Photon, not knowing the culture of the girl, accidentally engages himself to be married to her. Now, through a series of unfortunate events, the fate of the galaxy is now in the hands of Photon and his band of idiots!

Both series have a niave character who're way too powerful for some reason, and are constantly fighting off goofy/incompetent baddies. The series are good for a laugh, and even though Dragon Half is more comedy that action, the fights are definitely worth seeing :P

Ruin Explorers

Ruin Explorers

Ihrie and Fam are just two of the many explorers searching ruins for something called the 'ultimate power'. With the 'ultimate power' the owner has the ability to have any wish granted. Of course all the explorers have different motives for finding this relic, ranging from revenge on a curse-casting mentor, to saving a kingdom from utter destruction.

Dragon Half has about the same very loud very fantastic comedy that makes Ruin Explorers so funny. While the quests of the main characters are significantly different, there's enough similarities in the type of humor and the medieval fantasy theme that I think if you enjoy one, you'd like the other.
