Many years in the future, crime is out of hand. In order keep the city safe, the Tank Police were created. The Tank Police are an elite unit that uses massive tanks to bring criminals to justice, yet many feel they do more damage than they are worth. Leona is a rookie, and within her first few days on the force she is already knee-deep in trouble.
Sixteen-year-old Takeshi Chimatsuri is the son of a famous samurai and on his way to becoming one himself, but an old family feud soon makes his life much more difficult. For his father, long ago, stole a family heirloom from a powerful ninja that he defeated – and now, his two granddaughters have arrived to take it back. From invisibility potions to their naked bodies, the two girls will stop at nothing to get back what was taken from their family!
Allthough the Samurai is not set in the future with tanks. And Dominion Tank does not deal in the ways of Ninjas. There is a certain 80's charm about the two series. They are both fast paced comedies, hand drawn cel, and OAV quality animation.
And this is one of the few times you could recommend two series based on the antagonistic, yet entertaining sets of twin sisters that are in both series.
Following a global war and climate change, 35% of Earth's land mass has sunk into the ocean. In this difficult time, countries rely not on armies but on private military corporations to provide security against constant terrorist attacks. One such company is Arqon Global Security, whose staff of mercenaries is tasked with protecting Daiva City on a pay-per-mission basis. Armed with motorcycles that transforms into weapon-wielding mecha, these "blademen" are none too popular with the people they protect - but they always get the job done!
I know, what you’re thinking. How can you compare the two? Viper's Creed is a more serious action adventure, and Dominion Tank Police is a comedy. Well simply, both Animes have Elite forces that protect their city. And both cause a bit of collateral damage in the process.
