After her father moves and leaves her behind, Yui Komori arrives at the mansion she must now call her home, unaware of the horrors that await her. For Yui’s new housemates are vampires, and she’s been sent to live with them by the church as their prospective bride-to-be. But what sounds like the subject of a romance novel soon turns to despair, as these fanged beauties are delighted to have a new plaything to torment and will stop at nothing to force themselves upon her and drink her blood. Yui must now learn to cope with her new life of being sadistically abused at every turn, whether she’s called derogatory slurs, forced to feed the vampires’ bloodlust against her will, or being treated like the garbage they see her to be.
When Chii’s father remarried, she gained more than just a stepmother - she also became the stepsister to thirteen brothers! And as if her now massively-sized family isn’t enough to handle, the girl also learns that they’ll be moving in together! Chii’s new brothers are eager to help her feel welcome, but with everyone living together without parental supervision, the arrangement might lead to more than just new friendships...
Both anime are misogynistic to a varying degree -BroCon is milder in this aspect while Diabolik Lovers is blatantly misogynistic- about a young woman being forced to co-habitate with a gang of different guys all vying for her attention. Both are nominally romances of the reverse harem variety, if you count guys sexually assaulting a female as romance. Diabolik Lovers has the supernatural theme going while Brothers Conflict has a more realistic feel (if you get past the talking squirrel...), and the guys in Diabolik Lovers are more repulsive than the cast in BroCon0. Those are the biggest differences, really.
Fans of either show would do well to watch the other one, and if you hated one with all your heart and want some more brainrot to enrage you, why, it's just more of the same.
Reverse harems are the order of the day here. One is your classic reverse harem where all the guys inexplicably fall in love with the main girl a few seconds after meeting her, the other has the guys sexually and verbally abusing the leading lady at any and every given opportunity. Both are pretty misogynistic, with BroCon being milder than the vile Diabolik Lovers.
Each show is literally teeming with pathetic, abusive, arrogant, creepy and downright irritating sexual predators whos morals seem to be almost completely absent. Almost absent in the case of BroCon, but totally absent in the case of Diabolik Lovers, where sexual and verbal abuse is thrown around like confetti.
Plot wise, they share a few striking similarities. The main girl in each show is sent to live in a huge house with a bunch of strange boys she's never met. Each boy then falls in love with her in some shape or form. Classic shoujo reverse harem stuff really. Except that Diabolik Lovers has the supernatural aspect with it's vampires, and more sadistic with the rampant abuse it loves to focus on. BroCon, on the other hand, is more grounded in reality.
So if you like your reverse harems, and douchebag males then you'll likely find both entertaining. Likewise if you’re a fan of one you’ll probably enjoy the other. And if you’re the type who enjoys raging over terrible anime, then you’ll have a lot of fun here.
Yes right now this is another show that is similar. Both have one main character that is female. The men have "dere" personalities in both shows and both are equally provocative. Both anime are based off Otome games.
Both are Otome games from Otomate. Its got the girl whos from another family and moves in. some characters are quite similar too,
What everyone here says is true, but if you need more proof: One of the characters names is Subaru and the female lead is adopted. Brothers Conflict is much more pleasing to watch because of its more Slice of Life feel and overall less molestation.
The heroine of both anime is exactly what one would expect of an anime of its caliber. As is common in the anime adaptions of otome games, the heroine is submissive, fairly quiet and a bit of a pushover in her own right. They're both suddenly thrust into worlds quite different from what they're accustomed to(full of men, might I add). BroCon has waaayyy more love interests than DV, the latter of which is way more suggestive. You'll either love them or hate them, really.
In both series there are brothers and Heroine is really stupid. They actions don't make sense. But there is a lot of sexual assault. If you ignore the plot and only watch for bishes OR you love to laugh of dumb situations (like me) WATCH THIS.
It is very similar because both deal with a set of brothers fighting over the same girl. In the case of Brothers Conflict it is their step sister and in Diabolik Lovers it is a bride to be. Both stories feature bishii characters to showcase each type of guy, and in both stories the heroine is powerless against their advances.
This is completely bonkers because what kind of sick show could be similiar to Diabolik Douches? A show that has just about every character in an Otome game or harem that fits any staple short of the putrid depths of douchery that Diabolik Douchesacks delves into. That show, is Brothers Conflict, now refered to as BroCon.
Each series has a group of guys who may or may not be pining for the main heroine, and while totally irrelevant is flat-chested. Because they're obviously harems and based on harem games (Probably for Brocon but disturbingly enough yes for Diabolik Doucheturds), they all wind up falling for the girl and show their love in different ways. Very. Different ways. Very. Seriously very different.
The point I'm getting at is that the concept is similiar, where each show caters to a crapload of generic harem staples. The girl also moves into the overly large house through whatever means, has to get into relatively painful (Excessively painful for you and her in Diabolik Douchebags) and as a whole, it's painful for the viewer because both shows lick goats. They are terrible for characters, terrible for whatever craptacular plot they have, boring engagements (Encounters is a better term) between girl and whatever guy (Again, horrifying and mortifying for Diabolik Douchenozzles) and chances are unless you like good looking guys (Let alone morals), you wouldn't remember their names.
While they are on opposite sides of the moral scale and one is completely and utterly repulsive and the other is supposed to be sweet but is actually boring, they share the same reverse-harem staples and are, once again, crappy watches.
both brothers conflict and diabolik lovers have many of the same voice actors, chi and yui also share multiple similarities in their personality. once you watch the two shows you begin to wonder whether diabolik lovers is simply season 2 of brothers conflict except "vampirised"
both anime includes a girl staying into a place where there are all boys. the boys in both anime had also liked or fallen in love with the girl. both are very similar, if you liked diabolik lovers, you would sure like brothers conflict! and thus vice versa.
If you liked either one of these animes you should like the other one becasue they almost have the same plot line. Also the main girl characters are once agian stuck between alot of guys they have to chose between.
A girl with zero personality moves into a house with a bunch of strange men who will objectify her and basically rape her while she stares on, emotionless. Basically, Brothers Conflict is Diabolik lovers without the vampires.
I actually really think of DL as a crossover of a horror movie and Brocon. Not only are Ema, Wataru, Ukyo and Azusa's Voice actors in it, but also the story is similar:
- A girl goes to a house with severa brothers she has never met
-she's very docile
-There's a little romance.
Both characters are very similar, as is the art style used. DL is a little bit darker and has a more defined story as brocon is light hearted and has characters you can't help but adore. Both use a serious tone while Brocon slips in humor very cleverly. DL is a bit more serious with less male characters, but honestly- both are of the best series I have watched in the shojou genre. Highly reccomend both ways!
Both have a girl who goes into a house and has a lot of guys after her. The diffrence is that Diabolik Lovers has vampires and are only after her for the blood but slowly start to like her more, and Brothers Conflict has it where their all siblings and the girl moves in with 13 guys, but the guys still slowly relise their feelings for their step-sister. Both are really simaler.
main characters are just alike! They dont even try resist kisses and hugs from boys! Lame harem say i!
Although one is about Vampires and other not about Vampires, they both have similar things about them.
They are both Reverse Harem, meaning 1 girl and many boys.
In both Anime the guys want the girl’s attention and will do anything to be the one "She chooses".
Also at first the girl in both animes are a tad uncomfortable and confused with how to react with their new living arrangements.
Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. Yuki Cross and her friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds at night and supervise the switchover of classes at dawn and dusk to prevent any 'accidents' from happening. While Zero is suspicious of vampires and hates the idea of sharing the same space as them, Yuki admires the Night Class for their beauty and sophistication; she is especially intrigued by their charming leader, Kaname, because he once saved her life. However, as Yuki quickly learns, not all vampires are amiable like the Night Class, and as terrible events unfold, Yuki must ask herself whether in a world where vampires are the hunters and humans are the prey, peaceful coexistence can really be achieved.
Both have vampires. Both are reverse H. One girl and many potential guys at first. Both series have agressive vampires. VK and DL have a certain mystery to the plots as well.
Becasue they both involve vampres who are both after the same girl and they will do anything to try and get her. Also becasue the plot of both animes are quite similar to each other.
Each anime is a reverse harem where the males are all vampires, and who chase after a human female. Both contain pretty aggressive males and have a hint of mystery about their plots.
Well, if you're up for some reverse harem where a bunch of vampires compete for maiden's heart, then you're probably thinking one of these two. Concepts are really similar as well, togehter with the same settings like gothic buildings, schools castles and what not. If you liked one of these two, there's a possiblity that you might like the other one... I guess.
Both these anime are reverse harem where vampires all compete to get the normal human girl. They both involve a world where vampires can go to special night school along with human students.
In Vampire Knight the human girl can at least defend herself a little bit. Whereas in Diabolik Lover the girl is defenseless and at the mercy of the vampires. If you like reverse harem with abusive males trying to force their attention on a human woman then try these anime.
Very similar storylines. The heroine has a secret past that she is trying to uncover, while a family of vampires chase after her. It has the bishii vampires just like Vampire Knight. You also have night school and a very similar uniform for the students.
Vampire Knight and Diabolik Lovers are very similar because they're both vampire/ romance. Then, they both have one female cute main character and lots of vampire boys. They both have mistery in their plots.
Actually, when I first saw Diabolik Lovers, I trought that the show looks like a mix of Vampire Knight and (Disney) Beauty and the Beast.
I agree, but i think that yuki from vampire knight had so much more courage against the vampires, but yui from diabolik lovers is really subservient to all the brothers, letting them do what they like to her. But i definelty agree that they are similar
Both Vampire Knight and Diabolik Lovers follow a similar plot: Human girl is trying to unravel the mysteries surrounding a group of handsome, artistocratic vampires, with lots of fanservice in the form of the seduction and sensuality that accompanies vampirism. Admittedly, Vampire Knight has a much more put-together storyline than Diabolik Lovers, but if you just can't get enough of hot bishie vampires, try one or the other. But be warned that of the two, Vampire Knight is far more satisfying because of its legitimate attempts to develop a cohesive plot.
both anime is about vampires after a female human. it is very similar, if you like vampire knight, you would surely like diabolik lovers and vice versa
If you liked either one of these animes you will like the other because they are both about Vampires. Also the main girl characters are trapped beteween which male character they like more. Also it turns out that Yui and Yuki have alot more in common then one would realize.
Both Vampire Knight and Diabolik Lovers are shoujo vampire anime with good looking guys and a female protagonist who is not the most interesting of characters. There are differences in plot but I'm sure both will appeal to female anime fans who enjoy supernatual anime.
Diabolik Lovers and Vampire Knight are both shoujo series with vampires, hot bishies, and a completely useless main heroine.
Because you clearly hate yourself. Both of these are the worst stereotypes for shoujo. They present the flimsiest protagonists, who are wooed by useless male characters. Both even have overtones of rape, though Diabolik Lovers goes much further in this direction.
Seriously, don't watch either of these.
Both anime have been adapted from otome visual novels, and subsequently aimed at women. Each show has fairly similar character designs, with that classic "sexy bishounen" look being common place. Reverse-harem traits are in both too. The main girl of each series also have their similarities.
Both series are absolutely terrible as well, which is their biggest similarity if you ask me...
Both series feature bishounen Final Fatasy rejects attempting to woo, a bland female protagonist. The guys each take their turn with the doormat protagonist insisting that she belongs to them. The guys are controlling when they're not being outright abusive.
In Amnesia there's bits of an interesing plot between the girl dating her bishounen suitors, whereas in Lovers she's actually locked in with her rapey harem with no hope of escape. But both series are aimed at the same kind audience so if you saw one and want more like it then watch the other.
If you ever feel like watchign a Otome adaptation where a bunch of guys compete for a girl's hear in sometimes abusive way, then look no further, these two represent each other almost perfectly. Charachter design and general feel are quite similar as well, so I gues that you'll probably like one if you liked another...
Like Amnesia, Diabolik Lovers is also a shoujo anime and an adaptation of an otome game. Both anime have a quiet female lead with little personality and a variety of male characters of various personality types too. Infact, both have six main male characters each. I think that fans of Amnesia are almost guaranteed to enjoy Diabolik Lovers and vice versa.
I found both of these shows to be creepy and did not particularly enjoy them, but I think they're fairly similar. A cast of one-trait bishies surround a pretty, plain, and innocent female MC, who can't understand why/how her life has been turned upside down. Both have a supernatural aspect to them as well.
Both shows are shoujo anime and feature an quiet female lead with almost no personality at all. Both shows are reverse harems and have bits of mystery/horror in them. Amnesia has a few pieces of plot here and there but diabolik lovers really doesn't if you liked one you'll probably like the other.
Both shows deal with the "shy girl surrounded by really hot guys who just want to throw themselves at her" theme. The girl in Diabolik Lovers has a bit more of a backbone than the girl in AMNESIA, so that was nice to see.
Both anime are in the shoujo genre, with a particularly quiet female lead surrounded by 4+ men who compete for ownership or the aforementioned protagonist. The art style in both anime is very similar, with each male having his own unique hair colour and fashion.
Hinamori Amu is a stylish punk rock girl who is liked and feared by her peers, but there's just one problem: she's actually a shy and quiet girl who can't seem to drop her self-fabricated facade! But when Amu finds three eggs in her bed, she had no idea her life would change forever. Out of the eggs pop Ran, Miki and Su, Amu's Guardian Charas; these being represent parts of Amu that she wishes she could be, even allowing Amu to transform into those parts at will! Now, with pressure from the other Guardians (including her crush, Hotori) to join their midst, dark sides of the psyche known as X Eggs to seal, and nefarious forces after a wish-granting egg known as the embryo, Amu's life has officially become more complicated!
I think that Amu and Yui are similar in that they don't really know what to do with their lives now that they have canged so dramatically. But if you liked one anime you will like the other also long as you like vampires and superpower animes.
If you liked one of these animes then you might like the other one becasue they both have a similar main female character. The main female character likes almost all of the male characters around her but don't know who to chose. Also some of the male characters have similar character traits.
The story revolves around heroine Yui Kusanagi, who is ordered by Zeus, a god and the headmaster of a school he created, to teach the meaning of love to young and handsome gods. The reason he has for doing this is to cancel the negative effects of the weakening bond between the world of the divine and the world of the humans.
Both these anime are reverse harems where a group of impossibly pretty boys all go after the same girl.
If you found the agressive and violent assholes in Diabolik too much to stomach then you should check out Kamigami. None of the guys try to hurt the female lead or force themselves on her. Instead, they are an adorable fumbling lot that need to learn about interacting with other people.
The set up of the shows are different. Diabolik is about a group fo vampire guys making a human girl their play thing. Kamigami is about a group of socially awkward gods that need to learn about humanity through interacting with the female lead. Both shows follow the same formula of each episode being mostly dedicated to one of the guys, but in Kamigami the guys treat her like she's a human being instead of an object to be used.
If you were unfortunate enough to see Diabolik Lovers, but still want to watch another reverse harem them do check out Kamigami.
