DearS and ninomiya are both harem shows in which the main female is some sort of supernatural being that comes to live with the main character. Both series are silly and lighthearted, not being particularly unique, but fun enough to keep the viewer entertained.

Another great anime with a really hot girl and a lot of nice fan service scenes. Of course, like DearS, it has a good comedy/romance story line as well.

TheOmnipotentLemur

DearS and Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun couldn't be more similar. Both have a pure ecchi plot, both are non specific romances, and both have nearly identical art styles.

KittyEmperor

The main focus of either series being the whole harem thing with with a lot of ecchi mixed into it.  While I would say that the biggest difference betwee either series is the male lead where in Goshuushou Shungo is a bit more manly than Takeya but both have similar mindsets when it comes to girls.  Sharing similar styles of art both series are good mirrors of each other.

Symmetrical

Even though it is differant in plot, Characters are VERY similar. Ikaros and Ren both love the main character and also seem to have a problem using their face for expressions. They also have to be taught the ediquit(Spell fail) and rules of the society. If you love the relationships in one, the other IS THE WAY TO GO!

unitzero

Dears was last years Sora no Otoshimono Forte. The basic outline of each show is exactly the same; strange super powered girl from the sky comes to live with some hapless dude and hilarity ensues. It should be noted the Forte is the second season of the franchise so be sure and check out the first series if you have not already. Basically light on character development, what little there is in each title focuses on the idea of what it is to love and be human. Both Ren (DearS) and Ikaros (SNOF) act like stoned children who must learn the customs of the human world and their respective place in said world. If you liked one of these, try the other as they are very similar

Same here. I also think that most of the charakters are similar. Especially the main female charakters Ren/Icaros. They both have to struggle to show their true feelings. Although Ren at least is able to show a bit more of emotions during the series.

The only main difference is the humor. Sora no otoshimono focuses on the more perverted humor, which is very well made in this series.

not all, however, like that. so you can decide on which humor you like the more and if you don't care about that then watch both. I can only highly recommend both

VongolaX

I love both series but just comes down to what type of humour you enjoy. If you like the ecchi, peverted type (Which I think is hilarious) or the baseline humour that runs through anime.

Ah! My Goddess

Ah! My Goddess

Keiichi Morisato is just your average college student until one day, fate interjects as he makes a call for take-out food. Unknown to him, he reaches the Goddess Help Line, and contacts a goddess named Belldandy, who grants him a wish. Thinking it to be a joke, Keiichi wishes for her to be his girlfriend 'forever'.

If you like to see a nerdy guy get a girl that is well out of his league (not to mention she isn't human), you'd like DearS and Ah My Goddess.

Colan

both have a similar master-slave relation between the main characters, but this changes while the plot continues and the characters develop their feelings for eachother

Ren and Belldandy both have special powers while Keiichi and Takeya are both ordinary teenagers

They also have many similar funny and embarrasing moments

GodzillaGus

same ecchi style of comedy. female lead characaters that are weak willed and have a male to "show them the ropes" if you will. oh and of course all this is an accident. strange person in a new world complex is there too. they also have a real feel of "emotional insecurity" but also "male dominate" almost in a spiteful way. if that's you then add these to your want to watch list or favorites.

Love Hina

Love Hina

Keitaro Urashima is somewhat of a failure. In order to fulfill a promise he made to a girl fifteen years ago, he has tried time and again to get into Tokyo U but has never managed to pass the exam. However, fate smiles upon him and he ends up working for his aunt, managing an all-girls dorm! Living with the feral Kaolla, the timid Shinobu, the sake-loving Mitsune, the blade mistress Motoko and the punch-happy Naru, can Keitaro keep his focus and keep his promise? And will he ever end up meeting that girl from his past?

Love Hina contains the same ecchi-like humor that DearS had, only with the harem element. Just like the main character of DearS you will feel sorry for the main characters in this romance as well as they strive to simply live together.

mlow44

Both are two of my favorite anime series of all time, and both are of comedy/romance/harem genre. They're both good bets if you're looking for something to laugh at.

Shirotaka

Thes two series have a similar feel and sense of humour, focusing mainly on the eechi/majiboke style. Comedy and misunderstandings form the basis of storylines in both these romantic comdedies.

Rizelmine

Rizelmine
  • TV (24 eps x 14 min)
  • 2002

In the present, the Japanese government has been conducting experiments to genetically engineer a human: a girl named Rizel. The experiment was a success -- sort of. While healthy and cheerful, 12-year-old Rizel also ended up possessing the uncanny need for “love” to further her development, as well as tears which were in fact volitile explosives! When sadness can end up destroying a city block, what's a girl to do except... get married?! For Iwari Tomori, the young man chosen as the most appropriate partner for Rizel, life is about to change, for better or for worse!

Both series are boy-meets-girl anime series, though with as main theme the rejection from the boy side. (Ie: Girl wants to get closer, boy wants to get rid of her). Besides the somewhat more loose humor in Rizelmine and the somewhat less ecchiness in Rizelmine, these series are quite similar.
madcomic

Both "Rizelmine" and "DearS" are about a guy who gets a single girl in one way or another pushed upon him. Both main characters are slowly growing attached to the girl's presence.

tonkatabe

both male leads have a similar type of humour, get into ecchi situations, hang around a lot of women and have a corny ending
