Besides the suspense, both are well animated.  There will be blood, and survival is a must.  I expect D.W. fans to become HOTD fans aswell as long they mind a little bloodshed now and again. Must see.

Kamishi Kamishi says...

Both Deadman Wonderland and Shadow Star Narutaru focus on what happens when people receive supernatural powers they should never have received, and what happens when people try to exploit each other utilizing these powers. Told through the perspective of coming-to-age, Deadman Wonderland and Shadow Star Narutaru explore how adolescents must struggle in a world where adults left them behind.

Aurura Aurura says...

Without focusing on gore, sex or supernatural horror, these both Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ and Deadman Wonderland put an average human being into an unspeakable world of darkness where only their inner will to survive prevails.

TheBlueKing44 TheBlueKing44 says...

While C is very colorful and involves battles with sentiant helpers, Deadman has carnaval corpse, where the two people fight. Also the main two characters are similar, at least in the part the guy cant get a break and he has a happy and strong girl at his side during his story.
